Full QT Funded review

17 min read · Updated Oct 28, 2026

QT Funded is the prop trading arm of Quant Tekel, a group that also includes a South African brokerage. It sells five plans: QT One (one step), QT Two and QT Power (two steps), QT Instant (no evaluation) and a buy-now-pay-later one-step that costs $1 to start. You trade forex, metals, indices and crypto CFDs on MT5 or TradeLocker. Profit targets are low, 6% on most plans, and the cheapest route works out to about $4.74 per $1,000 of funding.

The low targets come with tight rules once you're funded. Depending on the plan, your total open loss can't pass 1% or 2% of the account, every trade may need a stop loss within 60 seconds, and some plans cap profit at 5% per payout cycle. QT's own pages also disagree on several rules, and recent Trustpilot reviews describe denied payouts and a messy platform migration. This review goes plan by plan with dollar examples.

The short version

  • Best for: disciplined forex traders who use stops on every trade, risk small per position, and want low targets with cheap entry.
  • Not for: swing traders who sit through drawdowns, anyone who trades without a stop, and traders who want large payouts in a single cycle.
  • Biggest strength: low targets (6% on QT One, QT Power and the pay-later plan) and low prices, from $35 for a $5,000 QT Power.
  • Biggest risk: the funded-stage rules. A 1% open-loss limit or a missing stop loss is a hard breach on several plans, and payouts can be denied after a risk review for "high margin usage" without a published margin limit.
  • Our score: 3.7 out of 5. Good on price and payout frequency, marked down for strict and inconsistently documented rules.

Who runs QT Funded

QT Funded's about page says it was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in London. Finance Magnates reported on 16 September 2024 that the firm, then called AscendX Capital and operating since November 2023, had renamed itself QuantTekel. Today qtfunded.com redirects to qtfunded.quanttekel.com.

The legal set-up is spread across several companies. The site footer says all QT Funded services are provided by Quant Tekel SVG, an offshore entity in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and that customers contract with it. It also names Quant Tekel LLC as providing the simulated programs. Payments are processed by QT Treasury Limited, a Cyprus company (HE 487624) in Paphos. A separate company, Quant Tekel (Pty) Ltd, is an FSCA-authorized broker in South Africa (FSP 53227).

The about page says QT Funded is "regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority". The footer makes clear that the license belongs to the brokerage, and that QT Funded itself offers no brokerage or live market access. Treat that license as covering the broker only, not your simulated evaluation account. We couldn't find a full terms of service on the site, so the governing law isn't stated on the pages we read.

The rules live in the help center, with one article per plan. Those articles are the most detailed source, but they don't always match the plan cards on the evaluations page, as you'll see below.

Programs and prices

Prices are list prices in USD from the pricing data on QT's evaluations page, checked on 28 October 2026, for MT5. TradeLocker adds $5. The site shows many promo codes and banners, so these are the prices before any discount.

QT One (1-Step)

  • Make 6% in one phase. No minimum days, no consistency rule.
  • 3% daily drawdown, reset each day from the higher of the previous day's closing balance or equity.
  • 6% maximum drawdown. The help center calls it static; the plan card calls it trailing.
  • Funded: total open loss across all trades must never exceed 1% (hard breach). Split 70%, payout cycle every 4 trading days, at least 4 trading days and 3% profit before a request.
  • 7-day inactivity rule.
AccountPriceTargetDaily lossMax lossFunded open-loss limit (1%)
$5,000$110$300$150$300$50
$10,000$190$600$300$600$100
$25,000$350$1,500$750$1,500$250
$50,000$625$3,000$1,500$3,000$500
$100,000$1,000$6,000$3,000$6,000$1,000

Worked example, $25,000 QT One. You pass at $26,500. If yesterday closed at $25,800 in equity, today's floor is $25,050 ($25,800 minus $750). Under the help center's static rule, the account floor is $23,500. Once funded, all open trades together can't be down more than $250 at any moment. To request a payout you need at least $750 profit (3%) and four trading days in the cycle, and you'd keep $525 at 70%.

QT Two (2-Step)

  • Phase 1: make 8%. Phase 2: make 5%. At least 4 trading days per phase.
  • 4% daily drawdown, fixed in dollars and subtracted from the previous day's closing balance. 8% static maximum drawdown.
  • During the evaluation, combined risk on open trades can't exceed 75% of the daily limit.
  • News rule: no trading 5 minutes either side of major releases.
  • Funded: combined open loss capped at 1% (first breach is a soft breach, the second is a hard breach); every trade needs a stop loss within 60 seconds; profit is capped at 5% per 14-day cycle. Split 80%.

The price depends on the payout cycle you pick at checkout:

Account30-day cycle (default)14-day cycle7-day cyclePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily lossMax loss
$10,000$70$65$89$800$500$400$800
$25,000$140$154$203$2,000$1,250$1,000$2,000
$50,000$275$293$358$4,000$2,500$2,000$4,000

$200,000$1,000$975$1,219$16,000$10,000$8,000$16,000

The plan card describes QT Two's payout cycle as 14 days, while the default price in the pricing data is the 30-day option. At $10,000, $100,000 and $200,000 the 14-day option is actually cheaper. Check which cycle you're buying.

Worked example, $100,000 QT Two. Your floor is $92,000. During the evaluation, your combined risk at any moment, measured by stop-loss distance or open loss, can't exceed $3,000 (75% of the $4,000 daily limit). Phase 1 ends at $108,000. Once funded, every trade needs a stop within 60 seconds, open losses can't exceed $1,000 combined, and the most you can bank per 14-day cycle is $5,000 of profit, which is $4,000 at 80%. Profit above the cap is removed before the next cycle.

QT Instant

These rules apply to Instant accounts bought from 11 August 2026.

  • No evaluation. 3% daily drawdown, fixed in dollars from the previous close.
  • 6% maximum drawdown that trails the highest balance or open equity, and locks at the starting balance after your first withdrawal.
  • Open loss on any single instrument must stay below 1% (hard breach). Every trade needs a stop loss within 60 seconds (hard breach).
  • Split 100%. Payout cycle 4 days. You need 4 profitable days of at least +1%, a 30% consistency score, and 8% profit before your first 5% payout (a 3% buffer).
  • No news restriction. 14-day inactivity rule.
AccountPrice (30-day option)Daily lossMax lossPer-instrument open-loss limit
$5,000$75$150$300$50
$10,000$125$300$600$100
$25,000$230$750$1,500$250
$50,000$375$1,500$3,000$500
$100,000$750$3,000$6,000$1,000

The pricing data also offers 14-day ($81 to $780) and 7-day ($106 to $975) options for Instant, which doesn't fit with the 4-day cycle in the help center. Confirm the cycle before you pay.

Worked example, $10,000 Instant. The floor starts at $9,400. Because it trails equity as well as balance, an open profit of $300 that later reverses still lifts the floor to $9,700. Any single instrument can't show an open loss of $100 or more, so a 0.5-lot EUR/USD trade has to be closed before it's 20 pips against you. Reach $10,800, with four +1% days and no day above 30% of profit, and you can withdraw $500. At 100%, you keep it all.

QT Power (2-Step)

  • 6% target in each phase, at least 4 trading days per phase.
  • 4% daily drawdown, fixed from the starting balance. 8% maximum drawdown.
  • 35% consistency in the evaluation and on the funded account.
  • Split 80%, payout cycle 14 days for accounts bought from 11 August 2026.
  • The news rule doesn't apply. Leverage: forex 1:100, indices and metals 1:35, crypto 1:2.5. MT5 only, USD only.

$100,000$475$6,000$6,000$4,000$8,000

Worked example, $50,000 Power. Your floor is $46,000 and you can lose $2,000 a day. Phase 1 ends at $53,000. Under the 35% consistency rule, if you reach the $3,000 target with a best day of $1,500, your score is 50%, and you'd need to keep trading until total profit reaches about $4,286 to bring it under 35%.

QT 1-Step Buy Now Pay Later

  • Pay $1 to start, then an activation fee within 7 days of passing, a pay-after-you-pass model.
  • 6% target, no minimum days, no consistency rule in the evaluation.
  • 3% daily and 6% maximum drawdown, both trailing. Open loss must never exceed 2%, in the evaluation and when funded. News trading allowed.
  • Funded: 5% profit cap per 14-day cycle, 80% split, at least 5 trading days, a 20% consistency score and 3% minimum profit before a request. MT5 only.

$100,000$1$650$651$6,000$3,000$6,000$2,000

Worked example, $25,000 pay-later. You risk $1 to try. Pass at $26,500 and pay $180 within a week. Once funded, the most profit you can bank per 14-day cycle is $1,250 (5%), so $1,000 at 80%. With a 20% consistency score, no single day can be more than $250 of that $1,250, so you need at least five evenly spread winning days.

Which QT Funded plan should you pick?

QT Power is the best value. At $237 for $50,000 it's the cheapest per dollar of funding at $4.74 per $1K, has no news rule, and pays 80%. The trade-off is a 35% consistency rule in both stages and four trading days per phase.

QT Two suits traders who want bigger accounts, up to $200,000. Its 5% profit cap per cycle, 1% funded open-loss limit and 60-second stop rule make it a plan for small, steady gains rather than big months. The $200,000 account on the 14-day cycle costs $975, or about $4.88 per $1K.

QT One is fast, with a 6% target and no minimum days, but it's the most expensive evaluation per dollar ($10 per $1K at $100,000), pays only 70%, and closes the account after 7 days without a trade.

QT Instant is cheap for an instant account ($125 for $10,000) and pays 100%, but the equity-trailing drawdown, 1% per-instrument limit and 8% buffer before the first payout make it hard to get paid quickly.

The pay-later plan is the cheapest way to test yourself. Just know that the funded account caps profit at 5% per cycle with a 20% consistency score.

Trading rules in practice

Drawdown and the daily reset

On QT One, QT Two, Instant and Power, the daily limit is a fixed dollar amount based on the starting balance. On QT One it's subtracted from the higher of the previous day's closing balance or equity; on QT Two and Instant, from the closing balance. The pay-later plan describes its 3% daily limit as trailing. The plan articles don't give a clock time for the reset; the payout policy only refers to a rollover "based on UTC/Dashboard Timing".

Maximum drawdown is static on QT Two and Power, trailing on Instant and the pay-later plan, and disputed on QT One.

Funded-stage risk limits

This is where most QT accounts end, and the documents don't fully agree:

TopicPlan cards and plan articlesOther help-center articles
QT One drawdownPlan card: 3% static daily, 6% trailing max. Plan article: 3% trailing daily, 6% static max
QT Two funded risk1% max open loss; first breach soft, second hardExposure rule: combined risk up to 2.5% of the starting balance
QT Instant risk1% max open loss per instrumentExposure rule: combined risk up to 2% of the starting balance
QT Instant payouts4-day cycle, 4 days at +1%, 30% consistencyPayout policy: 14-day cycle, 5 trading days, 5% profit, 25% consistency
QT Two payout days4 days at +0.5%Payout policy: 4 days, at least 2 of them at +0.5%

Use the stricter number each time: 1% open loss on QT One, QT Two and per instrument on Instant, and a stop on every trade.

QT also bans "all-or-nothing" trading on every plan: trading without stops, holding through major news without risk control, risking more than 75% of the daily limit, or using "an excessive proportion of the available margin". No margin limit is published, which matters because "high margin usage" is a reason recent reviewers say payouts were denied.

Leverage and fees

Leverage is only published for QT Power: 1:100 on forex, 1:35 on indices and metals, and 1:2.5 on crypto. The help center doesn't state it for the other plans.

Commission is $4 per round-turn lot, $2 to open and $2 to close. Two lots of EUR/USD in and out cost $8. On a $10,000 QT One with a $300 daily limit, ten of those trades a day would cost $80 before spreads.

News

QT Two has a strict news rule. You can't open or close trades from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after CPI, FOMC, non-farm payrolls, USD PMI, and red-folder Forex Factory events for the affected currency, including indices priced in it. All-day red events block that currency for the whole day, and red-labelled speeches block trading until 5 minutes after they end. The plan comparison says profit from a breach is forfeited. QT One, Power, Instant and the pay-later plan have no news rule.

Weekends

You can hold open positions over the weekend on every plan, but you can't open new trades or change stops and targets while markets are closed. A stop or target hit over the weekend fills at the next available price, and QT says a trade caught in a "black swan" event during the closure can be invalidated.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

"Usage of EA" is a paid add-on at checkout for QT Two, Instant and the pay-later plan; EAs aren't mentioned for QT One or Power. High-frequency trading, tick scalping, arbitrage and latency trading are banned. Holding opposite positions on the same asset across accounts is a hard breach if they overlap for more than 2 minutes or it happens more than 3 times. Copy trading and hedging within one account aren't addressed.

Inactivity and allocation

Accounts are closed after 7 days without a closed trade on QT One and 14 days on every other plan, counted from purchase if you never trade. Your combined funded balance can't exceed $300,000, with no more than $100,000 in Instant accounts, and at those limits you can't trade the same pair on more than one funded account.

The general payout policy sets a minimum of 1% of the account or $100, whichever is higher (5% on Instant). Requests are processed within 24 business hours, not counting the day you ask. Payouts go by crypto or wire transfer, and transfer fees are yours to pay. All trades and pending orders must be closed first. QT says a new funded account is issued once a payout is approved, and it can call you in for a risk interview, which is mandatory if requested.

Split increases. An add-on raises the split by 10% at checkout on QT Two and Instant, and the about page says scaling can lift the standard split from 80% to 90%. No scaling targets are published.

Fee refund. A refund isn't standard. "Refund on First Payout" is a paid add-on on QT Two, Instant and the pay-later plan.

Identity checks. KYC runs through Didit and must be finished before a funded account is activated. The invitation goes out after phase 1 on QT One and the pay-later plan, after phase 2 on QT Two and Power, and 24 hours after purchase on Instant. VPNs aren't allowed during verification, and card payments must be in your own name.

Who can sign up

QT's help center blocks Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, Belarus, North Korea, South Korea, Pakistan, Syria and Egypt. The site footer also lists Cyprus and Sudan, plus Russia. Some limits are per platform: Russia and Canada can't use MT5, and the US can't use MT5 or cTrader.

US traders can sign up but must use TradeLocker. Logging in to an MT5 account from a US or Canadian IP address, even through a VPS or while travelling, is a hard breach. The help center still lists cTrader as a platform, but the current plan selector only offers MT5 and TradeLocker.

Reputation

QT Funded's Trustpilot profile is listed under the domain quanttekel.com. It scores 3.5 out of 5 from 13,367 reviews, 3,752 of them in the last 12 months, checked on 28 October 2026. The split is 73% five-star, 5% four-star, under 1% each for three and two stars, and 20% one-star. QT claimed the profile in September 2024, invites customers to review, and had replied to 44% of negative reviews, typically within a week. See the Trustpilot page. The widget on QT's own site still shows 3.9 from 13,012 reviews.

Positive reviews mostly mention easy purchases, fast instant accounts and quick payouts. The most recent negative reviews, from October 2026, are pointed: payouts denied for "high margin usage" without a clear limit, payouts delayed for weeks or months, a TradeLocker-to-MT5 migration that left accounts or trades missing from the dashboard, funded accounts not issued after a pass, rule changes on existing accounts, and traders banned from the Discord after complaining.

We found no regulator action against QT Funded in Finance Magnates, FX News Group or FinanceFeeds. QT's about page claims more than $17 million paid out to traders; that's the firm's own figure.

Mistakes to avoid at QT Funded

  1. Opening a trade without a stop on a funded QT Two or Instant account. Sixty seconds without a stop loss is a hard breach.
  2. Adding to a losing trade. On a funded $100,000 QT One or QT Two, $1,000 of combined open loss is the limit. On Instant it's per instrument.
  3. Trading the news on QT Two. Even closing a trade inside the 10-minute window counts.
  4. Taking a week off on QT One. Seven days without a closed trade ends the account.
  5. Expecting a big payout on QT Two or pay-later. Profit above 5% in a cycle is removed, not carried over.
  6. Logging in to MT5 from the US or Canada. One login from a restricted IP is a permanent breach.

Before you buy: checklist

  • Choose the plan for its funded-stage rules, not just its target.
  • Check which payout cycle the checkout price includes on QT Two and Instant.
  • Size every trade so your stop sits well inside 1% of the account.
  • Keep margin use low, since no limit is published and reviews cite margin-based denials.
  • Use MT5 only if you're outside the US and Canada.
  • Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our QT Funded coupon page for how to apply it.

Our verdict

QT Funded has some of the lowest targets and prices around. QT Power at $4.74 per $1K with a 6% target and no news rule is genuinely good value, and the pay-later plan lets you test yourself for $1.

The funded stage is where the deal gets harder: 1% open-loss limits, compulsory stops, profit caps on some plans, and help-center articles that contradict each other. Recent reviews about denied and delayed payouts and a rough platform migration add real risk. If you buy, start small, keep risk per trade well under 1%, and request a payout as soon as you're eligible.

QT Power offers 1:100 on forex, 1:35 on indices and metals and 1:2.5 on crypto. Leverage for the other plans isn't published in the help center.

Is there a consistency rule?+

Yes on some plans: 35% on QT Power, 30% on Instant payouts and 20% on funded pay-later accounts. QT One and QT Two have none.

Can US traders use QT Funded?+

Yes, on TradeLocker only. MT5 and cTrader aren't available to US residents, and an MT5 login from a US IP is a hard breach.
