How it works
There are two floors and whichever is higher is the one that matters right now:
- Max loss floor. Static: starting balance minus the max loss. Trailing: your highest balance (or equity) minus the max loss — many firms stop trailing once it reaches the starting balance.
- Daily loss floor. Today's starting balance minus the daily limit (usually a % of the starting balance).
Room before breach = current equity − the higher floor. Open trades count, so include floating losses. Static vs trailing drawdown, explained.
