How we earn, in plain words.

What you pay

Never more. The code either lowers your price or leaves it the same. If a firm is running a bigger sale than our code, use the sale — we'd rather you saved the money.

What the money can't buy

• Scores. Every score is calculated from the firm's published rules and prices, the same way for every firm. See how we rate.
• Order. Lists are sorted by score or by the filter you pick. A firm can't pay to move up.
• Silence. Rule changes, closures and red flags are published whether or not a firm works with us.

Where our numbers come from

Prices, rules and payout terms are taken from each firm's own website and help center. Every firm page lists the pages we used and the date we checked them. Where a firm doesn't publish something, we say “not stated” instead of guessing.

Spotted a mistake?

Firms change their rules often. If something on PickMyFirm is out of date, or SCOUT doesn't work at a checkout, tell us and we'll fix it.
