Full Funded Trader Markets review

Funded Trader Markets (FTM) is a forex and CFD prop firm run from Dubai, with group companies in Cyprus and Saint Lucia. You trade currencies, metals, indices, commodities and crypto CFDs on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or Match-Trader, with up to 1:100 leverage on forex. The main plans are the 1-Step Nitro, the 2-Step Plus and three instant accounts, with sizes up to $300,000.
FTM's selling points are freedom and speed: news trading, overnight and weekend holds, EAs and copiers are all allowed, and rewards can be requested on demand. The catch is price and payout friction. At list price FTM is expensive per dollar of funding, the 1-Step Nitro uses a trailing drawdown, funded accounts need 5 profitable days before each reward, crypto payouts lose 5%, and the 2-Step Plus cuts your split if a floating loss touches 1%. Trustpilot is also withholding the firm's rating. This review goes through it all with dollar examples.
The short version
- Best for: traders who want few conduct rules (news, weekends, EAs allowed) and on-demand rewards, and who can trade steadily enough to log 5 profitable days per payout.
- Not for: bargain hunters at list price, traders who let positions run deep into the red, and anyone who wants a big first payout from an instant account.
- Biggest strength: flexibility. Almost every trading style is allowed, on four platforms, with a 24-business-hour reward guarantee on rewards up to $1,000.
- Biggest risk: the details around payouts: profitable-day requirements, consistency rules, split ladders on instant accounts and the Shield Risk Protocol on the 2-Step Plus.
- Our score: 3.4 out of 5. Strong on payouts and rules, weak on value and track record, since FTM doesn't publish a founding year.
Who runs Funded Trader Markets
FTM's site footer names three companies. The contracting entity for all clients is Formed Technologies INT FZCO, registered in the UAE (number 36580) at Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis. FTM Funded Trader Markets LTD, registered in Cyprus (HE462185) in Nicosia, acts as a payment agent. Funded Trader Markets LTD, registered in Saint Lucia (2025-00239), holds the group's MT5 licence. FTM doesn't publish a founding year. Finance Magnates described it as a Cyprus-based prop firm in May 2025.
The terms of service send disputes to arbitration in Cyprus before a single arbitrator, applying the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The terms also say FTM can block any trader "for any reason."
All accounts are simulated. The footer says FTM "provides simulated trading accounts within a non-live environment."
The rules are spread across a public help center with one article per question. Many articles are dated, which helps, but some plan details only appear on the program pages, and a few help articles disagree with each other.
Programs and prices
Prices are the list prices on FTM's homepage and program pages, checked on 28 October 2026, before any coupon. The site was showing an "up to 75% off" sale when we checked; we use the struck-through list prices.
1-Step Nitro
Nitro is FTM's main one-step and its widest size range.
- Make 10% with a 4% daily limit (3% on $300,000) and a 6% trailing drawdown.
- The trailing floor follows your highest recorded balance and locks at the starting balance once you're 6% up.
- Evaluation consistency: no single day can be more than 50% of the profit target.
- No minimum days in the evaluation, no time limit.
- Funded: 5 trading days with at least 0.5% profit before each reward, and no day above 45% of total profit.
- Split: 90% on the first $10,000 of profit, 80% after that.
| Account | Price | Target | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $80 | $500 | $200 | $300 |
| $10,000 | $116 | $1,000 | $400 | $600 |
| $25,000 | $236 | $2,500 | $1,000 | $1,500 |
| $50,000 | $480 | $5,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 |
| $100,000 | $622 | $10,000 | $4,000 | $6,000 |
| $200,000 | $1,096 | $20,000 | $8,000 | $12,000 |
| $300,000 | $1,622 | $30,000 | $9,000 | $18,000 |
Worked example, $100,000 Nitro. Your floor starts at $94,000. If your balance reaches $103,000, the floor moves to $97,000 and stays there even if you drop back. Once the balance reaches $106,000, the floor locks at $100,000. Each day you can lose $4,000, measured from the higher of balance or equity at 5 PM EST. You pass at $110,000, and no single day can make more than $5,000 of that.
2-Step Plus
The two-step has the most room and a static floor, but its split depends on the Shield Risk Protocol.
- Phase 1: make 8%. Phase 2: make 5%.
- 4% daily limit and 10% static drawdown.
- Minimum 3 trading days per phase. No time limit.
- Split starts at 70%. A free add-on at checkout raises it to 90%, but then the Shield Risk Protocol applies during the evaluation too: a first breach there is a soft breach, a second fails the evaluation.
- Shield Risk Protocol: open (floating) losses can never reach 1% of the starting balance. If they do, all positions close and your split drops.
| Account | Price | Phase 1 target | Phase 2 target | Daily loss | Max loss | Shield limit (1%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $100 | $400 | $250 | $200 | $500 | $50 |
| $10,000 | $152 | $800 | $500 | $400 | $1,000 | $100 |
| $25,000 | $392 | $2,000 | $1,250 | $1,000 | $2,500 | $250 |
| $50,000 | $784 | $4,000 | $2,500 | $2,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $997.50 | $8,000 | $5,000 | $4,000 | $10,000 | $1,000 |
| $200,000 | $1,872.50 | $16,000 | $10,000 | $8,000 | $20,000 | $2,000 |
Worked example, $50,000 2-Step Plus. Your floor is $45,000 and never moves. You can lose $2,000 a day. Phase 1 ends at $54,000 and phase 2 at $52,500. Once funded, an open loss of $500 across your positions closes them and cuts your split, even though you still have $5,000 of total room. Each breach cuts deeper:
| Shield breach | Your split afterwards |
|---|---|
| First | 50% |
| Second | 40% |
| Third | 30% |
| Fourth | 20%, permanently |
Instant Standard
Instant Standard funds you straight away, with a split that starts low and climbs.
- No profit target. 3% daily limit and 5% trailing max loss, based on closed balance.
- 5 trading days with at least 0.5% profit before each reward.
- 15% consistency: no single day can be more than 15% of your total profit.
- Split ladder: 50% on the first reward, 60% on the second, 70% on the third, 80% from the fourth.
- Drawdown resets to full room after every reward, according to the instant funding page.
| Account | Price | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $52 | $150 | $250 |
| $10,000 | $70 | $300 | $500 |
| $25,000 | $176 | $750 | $1,250 |
| $50,000 | $360 | $1,500 | $2,500 |
| $100,000 | $723 | $3,000 | $5,000 |
Worked example, $25,000 Instant Standard. Your floor starts at $23,750 and trails your closed balance upward. You can lose $750 a day. Before your first reward you need 5 days of at least $125 profit each. If your total profit is $2,000, no day can be above $300. Request the full $2,000 and, at 50%, you receive $1,000.
FTM also sells Instant Pro (3% trailing max and a 3% daily limit in the comparison table, though its description says it has no daily limit; from $43 for $5,000 to $600 for $100,000) and Instant Plus (3% daily, 6% trailing max that locks, from $62 to $884). The $5,000 Instant Pro at $43 is the cheapest account FTM sells. The site also lists 1-Step Nitro X, 1-Step Infinity and a Launchpad program, which we didn't price.
Which Funded Trader Markets plan should you pick?
For most traders the 1-Step Nitro is the best fit. One target, a 90% split on the first $10,000, and the cheapest cost per dollar at the large sizes: the $300,000 costs $1,622, or $5.41 per $1,000, and the $200,000 costs $5.48 per $1,000. The price is the trailing floor and the 50% best-day rule during the evaluation.
Pick the 2-Step Plus if you want static drawdown and a lot of room, and you always trade with tight stops. The 1% Shield limit means you can't let any group of trades run against you, and at $997.50 for $100,000 it's the most expensive plan per dollar.
Instant Standard suits traders who'd rather pay $70 for a $10,000 account than pass a test, and who can grind out 5 profitable days per cycle. The 50% first-reward split and 15% consistency rule make the first two payouts small.
Best value with real room: the $100,000 Nitro at $622 ($6.22 per $1,000). Cheapest way in: Instant Pro at $43.
Trading rules in practice
Drawdown and the daily reset
The Nitro trails your highest recorded balance and checks both balance and equity against the floor, so a floating loss can breach it. The 2-Step Plus floor is static. Instant accounts trail closed balance only.
The daily limit is calculated at 5 PM EST each day. FTM's Nitro article explains the method: it takes 4% of the starting balance (3% on the $300,000) away from the higher of balance or equity at that time. Carry a big open profit through 5 PM and your floor for the next day rises with it. FTM's own help article includes an example where an account breaches straight away because equity at 5 PM lifted the floor above the closed balance. If you hold large open profits into the reset, ask support how that case is handled.
Leverage and fees
Leverage depends on plan and size:
| Account | Forex | Commodities | BTC and ETH | Other crypto |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nitro and 2-Step Plus evaluations | 1:100 | 1:30 | 1:2 | 1:5 |
| Funded and instant, $5,000 to $100,000 | 1:100 | 1:20 | 1:2 | 1:5 |
| Funded and instant, $150,000 and up | 1:50 | 1:10 | 1:2 | 1:5 |
The help pages we read don't publish a commission table. In 2025 FTM advertised zero commission on crypto trades, according to Finance Magnates. Check the contract specifications on the platform before you trade, and remember that commissions count against your daily limit. Two recent Trustpilot reviewers say a few dollars of fees or spread pushed them over the daily limit.
News, weekends and overnight
FTM's help center says: "you are allowed to trade news in all our programs." Overnight and weekend holding are allowed on every program as well.
One exception: hedged positions can't be held overnight on instant or funded accounts. Profits from those trades don't count toward a reward, though the account isn't closed.
EAs, copiers and hedging
Bots are allowed on every account and phase. Banned types include HFT bots, news scalping bots, bots that exploit demo servers, tick scalping, latency and reverse arbitrage, multi-account reverse trading and emulators.
Trade copiers are allowed on all programs, as long as the trades are originally yours. You can copy from another prop firm or your own broker account, but not from signal services or other traders, and two FTM traders can't run the same bot.
Hedging is allowed inside one account. Hedging across separate accounts is prohibited. Martingale and layering are allowed within one account but not across accounts, which FTM treats as sequential trading.
Consistency rules
| Plan | Rule |
|---|---|
| 1-Step Nitro evaluation | No day above 50% of the profit target |
| 1-Step Nitro funded | No day above 45% of total profit |
| 2-Step Plus | None |
| Instant accounts | No day above 15% of total profit |
Minimum activity
The Nitro evaluation has no minimum days. The 2-Step Plus needs 3 per phase. Every funded and instant account needs 5 trading days with at least 0.5% profit before each reward. On a $100,000 account, that means five days where you close at least $500 in profit.
How payouts work
Rewards are on demand: request whenever you meet the conditions.
- Minimum: profit of at least 1% of the initial balance ($1,000 on a $100,000 account).
- Activity: 5 profitable trading days per reward on funded and instant accounts.
- Split: Nitro 90% on the first $10,000 then 80%; 2-Step Plus 70%, or 90% with the add-on; instant accounts 50% rising to 80% from the 4th reward.
- Methods: USDT on TRC-20, or Rise (crypto or bank transfer). A 5% processing fee applies to crypto reward requests and comes out of your share.
- Fee refund: no refund, but evaluation programs pay a performance bonus equal to 100% of the purchase fee with your 3rd reward. Instant accounts don't get it.
- KYC: the terms require KYC before you trade a funded account. FTM may also ask for a verification call before paying, and missing it can forfeit the reward.
Fee example. You make $2,000 on a funded Nitro. At 90%, your share is $1,800. Taking it in USDT costs 5%, or $90, so $1,710 arrives.
Timing claims vary by page:
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| Homepage | Reward "guaranteed" within 24 hours, average "under 20 mins" |
| 24-hour guarantee article (30 March 2026) | Within 24 business hours of the request; business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM ET on weekdays; only for rewards up to $1,000 |
| Terms of service | No timeframe; rewards paid once verified, "at the time of the due date" |
Nine business hours a day means the "24 business hours" guarantee can stretch to about three business days. If FTM misses it, it doubles the reward and gives you a free account of the same size. If FTM contacts you about a reward and you don't reply within 36 hours, the request is rejected.
FTM's pages we read don't describe a scaling plan for these programs. The homepage advertises a maximum allocation of $1 million.
Who can sign up
The help center lists 12 restricted countries: Belarus, Cuba, Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Vietnam and Yemen. The site footer lists only 9 of them (it leaves out Belarus, Myanmar and Vietnam), so go by the longer help center list.
US access isn't clear-cut. The US isn't on either list, but the footer says the cTrader and MT5 services "are not intended for U.S. residents." If you're in the US, confirm with support which platform you can use before you buy.
You must be at least 18. You can pay by credit card, debit card or crypto. Refunds are possible within 14 days of purchase only if you haven't started trading.
Reputation
Trustpilot is currently not showing a rating for Funded Trader Markets. When we checked on 28 October 2026, the profile carried a warning that the rating "is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines," and a note that Trustpilot had removed a number of fake reviews. The profile lists 447 reviews, 291 of them from the last 12 months: 60% five-star, 6% four-star, 2% three-star, 1% two-star and 31% one-star. Reply rate wasn't shown. See the Trustpilot page.
Positive reviews mention payouts arriving quickly once the rules are met, including one instant-account trader paid within seconds of a verification interview. Negative reviews in October 2026 focus on spreads and slippage (especially on crypto), daily-limit breaches by a few dollars, confusion about the trailing drawdown, and the strict conditions on instant accounts.
FTM's homepage claims $9.42 million paid and counting. We found no regulator actions or news reports about payout problems at FTM. Be careful not to confuse it with The Funded Trader, a different firm that paused operations in 2024.

Mistakes to avoid at Funded Trader Markets
- Letting a 2-Step Plus trade run. A floating loss of 1% closes your positions and cuts your split to 50% on the first breach.
- Counting losing days. Only days with at least 0.5% profit count toward the 5 days you need for each reward.
- Leaving fees out of your daily limit. Size stops so that spread and commission can't push you a few dollars past it.
- Taking a big day early on Nitro. In the evaluation, no day can make more than 50% of the target; on a $50,000 that's $2,500.
- Holding a hedge overnight on a funded account. The account survives, but those profits won't count.
- Ignoring support during a reward review. Miss the 36-hour reply window or the verification call and the reward can be rejected.
Before you buy: checklist
- Pick between Nitro's trailing floor and the 2-Step Plus Shield limit, based on how you manage open losses.
- Decide on the 2-Step Plus split add-on before checkout.
- Check the platform you want is available where you live, especially in the US.
- Plan to take rewards through Rise if you want to avoid the 5% crypto fee.
- Read the Funded Trader Markets rules summary for your plan.
- Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our Funded Trader Markets coupon page for how to apply it.
Our verdict
Funded Trader Markets gives you more freedom than most forex firms: news, weekends, bots and copiers are all allowed, and rewards are on demand with a written speed guarantee. The 1-Step Nitro, with a 90% split on your first $10,000, is a good product for traders who keep their days even.
At list prices it's expensive, and the payout conditions add up: 5 profitable days per reward, consistency rules, a 5% crypto fee, a split ladder on instant accounts and the Shield limit on the 2-Step Plus. With Trustpilot's rating withheld and no published founding year, start with a small Nitro and get one reward paid before you size up.
