FTUK is a forex prop firm that has been funding traders since 2021. Today it sells two forex programs: the Flex Challenge, a one-step evaluation you start for $9 and only pay for properly after you pass, and Instant Funding, which skips the test. You trade forex, metals, energies, indices and crypto CFDs on MT5, TradeLocker or Match-Trader, all on simulated accounts, and the profit split climbs from 60% or 65% up to 90% as you scale.
The pitch is easy to like: a 4% target, no time limit, no stop-loss requirement, news trading and weekend holding allowed, and a failed attempt that costs $9. The catch is in the details. The drawdown trails your balance, an "Account Protector" closes everything at a 2% floating loss, trades must stay open at least 30 seconds, and the split starts low. FTUK's own pages also disagree on the split, payout speed, even who operates the business. This review covers all of it with dollar examples.
The short version
- Best for: day traders who want a cheap way to try for funding, keep each idea's open loss well under 2%, and like trading news.
- Not for: scalpers who close trades in seconds, traders who let losers run, and anyone who wants a high split from day one.
- Biggest strength: the pay-after-you-pass Flex model. You risk $9 per attempt, and the activation fee is only due once you've passed.
- Biggest risk: the Account Protector. Two hits of a 2% floating loss can end a funded account, even with no stop loss required.
- Our score: 3.4 out of 5. It scores top marks for on-demand payouts, but the total cost per $1,000 of funding is high and every plan uses a trailing drawdown.
Who runs FTUK
FTUK's help center says it has been funding traders since February 2021, and its About page says it launched instant funding in the first half of 2021. The same help center says the brand is operated by FTUK LLC, registered in Casper, Wyoming, USA, and every help article footer reads "© FTUK LLC · Simulated trading environment."
The terms of service tell a different story. Dated 20 July 2024, they describe "FTUK Inc." as a program operated by Nexdata-Solutions, a company registered in the Netherlands at Goeman Borgesiuslaan 77, Utrecht, and say Dutch law governs. No dispute forum or arbitration clause is named. We can't tell from FTUK's pages which entity you actually contract with, so ask support to confirm it in writing before you pay.
FTUK's help center says it's a privately owned brand, not a financial institution or broker, and it doesn't accept investor capital. The terms say all trading happens in a simulated environment. That's normal for retail prop firms: your payouts are rewards paid by FTUK, not profits from live trades.
The About page also says FTUK acquired another prop firm, TradingFunds, in the second half of 2026. FTUK also runs futures programs (Flex Futures and Instant Sim), which this review doesn't cover.
Where the rules live. Everything is in a public help center. That's useful, because the sales pages simplify a lot. The older One-Step and Two-Step forex programs stopped selling on 14 September 2026; their rules still apply to existing accounts but not to anything you buy now.
Programs and prices
FTUK sells two forex programs. Prices below are list prices from FTUK's pricing pages and their pricing scripts, checked on 28 October 2026, before any coupon. FTUK was running a time-limited discount on Instant Funding when we checked, so your checkout total may be lower.
Flex Challenge (pay after you pass)
The Flex Challenge is a one-step evaluation with a two-part price.
- Start fee: $9 at every size. The activation fee is due only after you pass.
- Target: 4%, with no time limit and 1 minimum trading day.
- Daily loss: 5%, reset at 22:00 UTC from the higher of your balance or equity.
- Maximum loss: 6% trailing, following your highest closing balance until it reaches the starting balance, where it locks.
- Account Protector: all positions close if your floating loss reaches 2% of the starting balance. The Flex article treats the first hit as a soft breach and the second as a hard breach.
- Leverage: 1:50 on forex in the evaluation, 1:30 once funded.
- Funded: no target, a 20% consistency score to withdraw, and a split that starts at 60% and reaches 90% at level 6.
- Reset: only at the funded stage, for the same price as the activation fee.
| Account | Start fee | Activation fee | Total if you pass | Target | Daily loss | Max loss (trailing) | Account Protector |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $9 | $56 | $65 | $200 | $250 | $300 | $100 |
| $10,000 | $9 | $98 | $107 | $400 | $500 | $600 | $200 |
| $25,000 | $9 | $204 | $213 | $1,000 | $1,250 | $1,500 | $500 |
| $50,000 | $9 | $374 | $383 | $2,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $1,000 |
| $100,000 | $9 | $672 | $681 | $4,000 | $5,000 | $6,000 | $2,000 |
| $200,000 | $9 | $1,200 | $1,209 | $8,000 | $10,000 | $12,000 | $4,000 |
Two inconsistencies to know about. The help center's Flex article lists sizes only up to $100,000, while the pricing page sells $200,000. And the Flex page's rules table says 5% daily and 6% trailing, while the pricing script behind its size selector lists 4% and 4%. We used the help center's 5% and 6%. A promotional banner on the site also advertises passing Flex "with just 2% profit," but every rules page we read says 4%, so plan on 4% unless your checkout says otherwise.
Worked example, $50,000 Flex. You pay $9. Your floor starts at $47,000 and your first day's loss limit is $2,500, so the day's hard stop is $47,500. The Account Protector will close everything before that if your open trades are down $1,000 at once. To pass you need $52,000. The floor follows your best closing balance: close a day at $51,000 and it rises to $48,000, close at $52,000 and it's $49,000. Pass, pay the $374 activation fee, and you've spent $383 for a $50,000 funded account. Fail, and you've lost $9.
Instant Funding
Instant Funding skips the evaluation. You start on a funded account at level 1.
- No profit target to start trading for payouts, and no minimum days.
- Daily loss: 5%, reset at 22:00 UTC from the higher of balance or equity.
- Maximum loss: 6% relative to your balance, trailing until it reaches the starting balance and then locking.
- Account Protector: the same 2% floating-loss rule. Two hits end the account.
- Leverage: 1:30 on forex at every level.
- Levels: each 10% gain moves you up a level, raising the split from 65% to 90% and the consistency allowance from 20% to 40%.
| Account | Price | Level target (10%) | Daily loss | Max loss (trailing) | Account Protector |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $109 | $500 | $250 | $300 | $100 |
| $10,000 | $179 | $1,000 | $500 | $600 | $200 |
| $25,000 | $349 | $2,500 | $1,250 | $1,500 | $500 |
| $50,000 | $649 | $5,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $1,000 |
| $100,000 | $1,199 | $10,000 | $5,000 | $6,000 | $2,000 |
| $200,000 | $2,220 | $20,000 | $10,000 | $12,000 | $4,000 |
The help center also lists Instant Funding add-ons, a 20% payout boost and a +2% drawdown (6% to 8%), but we didn't find their prices on the pages we checked. Accounts with purchased add-ons can't trade the news.
Worked example, $10,000 Instant. You pay $179. The help center's own example: your floor starts at $9,400, rises to $9,650 if your balance reaches $10,250, and locks at $10,000 once your balance reaches $10,600 or more. On day one you can lose $500, but the Account Protector closes your trades at a $200 floating loss. Reach $11,000 (the 10% level target) with your best day under $200, and at the 65% level-1 split your payout on that $1,000 is $650.
Which FTUK plan should you pick?
For almost everyone, Flex is the better deal. You find out whether you can trade inside FTUK's rules for $9 a try, and you only pay the activation fee once you've proved it. A $10,000 Flex costs $107 in total if you pass; the same size on Instant costs $179 upfront, win or lose.
Instant only makes sense if you're confident you can make money under these rules from the first day and want to skip the evaluation. You get a slightly better starting split (65% against 60%), but you pay the full price before placing a trade and there's no refund.
On cost per $1,000 of funding, FTUK isn't cheap once you add the activation fee. The best value is the $200,000 Flex at about $6.05 per $1K ($1,209 in total). The $100,000 Flex is close at $6.81 per $1K. Small Flex accounts cost more per $1K ($13.00 on the $5,000), but their low activation fees make them the cheapest way to learn the rules. Instant runs from $11.10 per $1K at $200,000 to $21.80 at $5,000.
The real advantage of Flex is what failing costs. Four failed attempts and a pass on a $50,000 account would cost $36 plus $374, or $410 in total. That's less than one $50,000 Instant account.
Trading rules in practice
Drawdown and the daily reset
FTUK uses a balance-based trailing drawdown on both programs. The floor sits 6% below your highest closing balance and moves up as you bank profit, until it reaches your starting balance. From then on it stays there. On a $10,000 account that happens once your balance reaches $10,600. Because it trails closed balance, not open equity, a floating profit you give back doesn't drag the floor up.
The daily loss limit is 5% and resets at 22:00 UTC. That's 6pm in New York while US daylight saving time is on (5pm in winter) and 10pm in London in winter (11pm in summer). FTUK's trading day also runs 22:00 to 21:59 UTC. The daily limit is measured from whichever was higher at the reset, your balance or your equity, so a floating profit you carry over 22:00 UTC raises the next day's starting point.
The Account Protector
This is the rule that matters most at FTUK. It works two ways:
- If your total exposure on a single instrument reaches a 2% loss of the starting balance, those trades are closed.
- If the open profit and loss on the whole account drops below −2% of the starting balance, every position is closed.
For accounts bought from 27 January 2026, two Account Protector closures end a Flex Funded or Instant Funding account. The Flex article applies the same soft-breach, then hard-breach logic to the Flex Challenge.
So while FTUK says stop losses aren't required, your real per-idea risk limit is under 2%. On a $50,000 account, that's a $1,000 floating loss across everything open. FTUK's own stop-loss article suggests keeping active risk "comfortably below 2%." Use a stop anyway.
Leverage and fees
| Asset | Flex evaluation | Flex funded | Instant Funding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forex | 1:50 | 1:30 | 1:30 |
| Metals | 1:10 | 1:10 | not stated |
| Indices | 1:10 | 1:10 | not stated |
| Non-metal commodities | 1:5 | 1:5 | not stated |
| Crypto | 1:2 | 1:2 | not stated |
Commission is $4 per standard lot on forex pairs only, on every platform and account type. Commodities, indices and crypto carry no commission. The help center doesn't say whether the $4 is charged per side or per round trip. A 2-lot EUR/USD trade would cost $8 if it's per round trip, or $16 if it's charged on both the open and the close. FTUK has removed swap fees on all three platforms, so holding overnight costs nothing extra.
Minimum trade time and partial closes
Every trade must stay open for at least 30 seconds. A trade closed faster counts as high-frequency trading, and it still counts as a violation if your stop loss or take profit closed it. Tick scalping and other very short-term strategies are banned.
You can take partial profits during the day, but if you reduce a position, the rest has to be closed before 22:00 UTC that day. Positions opened within 30 minutes of each other on the same instrument count as one position for this rule. Breaking it resets your consistency score, and repeat breaches can breach the account.
News, weekends and overnight
News trading is allowed on Flex and Instant, with no restricted window. Weekend and overnight holding are allowed on both. The exception: Instant accounts with purchased add-ons can't trade the news.
EAs, copy trading and banned strategies
- EAs and bots are allowed on forex accounts, per the help center. The terms of service still say traders should "not rely on signals, bots or software," so keep your own logic and avoid off-the-shelf systems.
- Copy trading is allowed only from your own personal account at another firm or broker into FTUK. Copying between FTUK accounts, or placing the same trades on several FTUK accounts, is a violation.
- Banned: martingale, tick scalping, "anti-scaling" (not defined), reverse arbitrage, latency arbitrage, hedge arbitrage, grid trading and HFT. Using any of them closes the account.
- Plain hedging isn't addressed beyond the hedge arbitrage ban.
- A fixed VPN or VPS is allowed if trades come from the same IP, and the terms say your trading IP should be in the same region as your billing address.
Consistency score
There's no consistency rule in the Flex evaluation. Once funded, and on Instant from the start, your best trading day must be less than a set share of the profit you're requesting:
| Level | Flex split | Flex consistency | Instant split | Instant consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 60% | 20% | 65% | 20% |
| 2 | 65% | 20% | 70% | 20% |
| 3 | 70% | 30% | 75% | 30% |
| 4 | 75% | 30% | 80% | 30% |
| 5 | 80% | 40% | 85% | 30% or 40% |
| 6 | 90% | 40% | 90% | 40% |
The Instant program table gives level 5 as under 30%, while the Instant scaling article says 40%. At 20%, if you want to withdraw $2,000, no single day can account for $400 or more of it. In practice you need at least six roughly even winning days per payout.
Minimum activity
You must place and close at least one trade every 30 days, or the account is hard-breached. FTUK says you can ask for a marker on the account for a planned break of 30 to 90 days.
How payouts work
FTUK markets "payouts on demand." On Flex Funded, you can request a payout as soon as you meet the consistency score. There's no fixed payout date and no stated minimum. During review your account switches to view-only mode, and you can trade again once the payout is approved.
How the split is applied. The level's split, from 60% (Flex) or 65% (Instant) up to 90%, only applies if you withdraw all the profit earned at your current level in one request. Several smaller requests are paid at the base rate, 60% on Flex and 65% on Instant. The help center's wording around a "10%" threshold here is unclear, so ask support before you split a withdrawal. On a $50,000 Flex Funded account at level 1, a single $2,000 withdrawal pays you $1,200.
Instant payouts are tied to the level target. The payout article says Instant Funding payouts are based on the 10% profit target for your current level, not on profit beyond it. On a $10,000 account at level 1, that means your payout is calculated on $1,000 even if you made $1,400.
Here's what FTUK's different pages say:
| Topic | Sales pages | Help center |
|---|---|---|
| Profit split | "Up to 80%" | 60% to 90% (Flex), 65% to 90% (Instant) |
| Payout speed | "Avg. payout time 1 hour"; "Instant payouts" | Approval in 24 to 48 working hours, then 1 to 3 working days to arrive |
| When you can withdraw | "Withdraw anytime" | Flex: once the consistency score is met. Instant: based on the level's 10% target |
| Bots | Allowed | Allowed (the terms say not to rely on bots) |
Plan around the help center: a 60% or 65% split to start, and roughly two to five working days from request to money.
Methods. Payouts above $500 go through RiseWorks in US dollars, which you can then convert and send to your bank. Payouts below $500 go out in USDT on TRC-20 or USDC on ERC-20. FTUK can't pay by bank transfer, Skrill or PayPal. You pay for accounts by debit card, credit card or crypto through Confirmo.
Refunds. None. The help center says plans are "non-refundable under any circumstances," the activation fee isn't refunded, and there's no fee refund on payouts.
Identity checks. KYC happens when you request your first payout, not when you buy. RiseWorks also asks you to verify your identity on its side the first time. You must be 18 or older to buy.
Review and interviews. Some payouts are approved automatically, and FTUK says an earlier approval doesn't mean your strategy is compliant. It can review any payout and can ask any trader for an interview at random.
Free accounts. Accounts won in giveaways or promotions can withdraw at most $500 a month.
Scaling. Each 10% gain moves you up a level, raising your split and consistency allowance as shown in the table above. The current Flex and Instant articles describe the split and consistency changes but don't list larger balances per level, so don't assume your account size doubles.
Who can sign up
FTUK doesn't onboard traders from 10 countries: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Vietnam and Yemen. The site footer also excludes anyone on international sanctions lists.
US residents are welcome, but MT5 isn't available to them. US traders use TradeLocker or Match-Trader for forex. You need to be 18 or older, and identity checks happen at your first payout. If you're in a country you're unsure about, ask support before buying, since purchases aren't refundable.
Reputation
On Trustpilot, FTUK scores 3.8 out of 5 from 791 reviews, checked on 28 October 2026. Of those, 66% are five stars, 6% four stars, 1% three stars, 2% two stars and 25% one star. FTUK claimed the profile in April 2022, pays for a Trustpilot subscription, invites customers to leave reviews, and has replied to 74% of negative reviews, typically within 24 hours. Trustpilot notes the profile was merged with other FTUK profiles. See the Trustpilot page.
That's well short of the "4.8/5 from 5K verified reviews" on FTUK's own homepage, which doesn't name its source.
The positive reviews mostly mention fast first payouts, traders on their fifth or sixteenth payout, and quick support on live chat and Discord. The negative ones mostly mention payouts denied after review, disputes over breaches and rule interpretation, a withdrawal that the reviewer says never arrived, and one trader saying FTUK stopped serving their country. In its replies FTUK often asks for account details, says it has no matching payout request, or cites rule breaches and KYC concerns.
FTUK's own payout figures don't agree either. The homepage and About page say "$12M+" rewarded, while the Flex page shows both "$18M total payouts" and "$12,000,000+ paid to traders." We found no regulator warnings or news reports about FTUK in Finance Magnates, FX News Group or FinanceFeeds as of 28 October 2026.

- Funded Trader Markets: worth a look if you want cheaper funding ($5.41 vs $6.05 per $1K), static drawdown and cTrader.
- Atlas Funded: worth a look if you want cheaper funding ($4.08 vs $6.05 per $1K) and static drawdown.
Mistakes to avoid at FTUK
- Closing trades in under 30 seconds. Even a stop loss or take profit that fills fast counts. Set stops and targets far enough away that a trade can't close in the first 30 seconds.
- Letting floating loss reach 2%. The Account Protector closes everything, and a second hit can end a funded account. Size so your worst open loss across all trades stays well under 2%.
- Partial closes held overnight. If you trim a position, close the rest before 22:00 UTC.
- One big day. At level 1, a single day worth 20% or more of your withdrawal blocks the payout. Spread profit across many days.
- Withdrawing in small pieces. Partial withdrawals are paid at the base 60% or 65% split, not your level's rate.
- Going quiet for 30 days. Place and close a trade at least once a month, or tell support about a planned break.
Before you buy: checklist
- Choose Flex unless you have a strong reason to pay upfront for Instant.
- Budget for the activation fee as well as the $9 start fee.
- Plan on a 4% target, a 60% or 65% starting split and a trailing drawdown.
- Check that your strategy never needs a trade open for less than 30 seconds.
- Ask support which company you're contracting with: FTUK LLC in Wyoming or Nexdata-Solutions in the Netherlands.
- If you're in the US, pick TradeLocker or Match-Trader at checkout.
- Set up a RiseWorks account before your first payout above $500.
- Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our FTUK coupon page for how to apply it.
Our verdict
FTUK's Flex Challenge is one of the cheapest ways to find out whether you can get funded. A failed attempt costs $9, the 4% target is low, there's no time limit, and news trading and weekend holding are allowed. If you trade with tight, consistent risk and hold trades longer than a few minutes, it's a reasonable bet. Compare it with other pay-after-you-pass firms before deciding.
What holds it back is cost once you pass and the strictness of the funded stage. The total price per $1,000 is high, the split starts at 60%, the drawdown trails, and the 2% Account Protector is effectively a hard risk cap. FTUK's pages also disagree on the split, payout speed and operating company. Read the help center rather than the sales pages, and plan for the stricter version of each rule.

EAs are allowed, but martingale, grid, HFT and arbitrage strategies are banned. You can copy trades in from your own account elsewhere, but not between FTUK accounts.
What is the FTUK Account Protector?+
An automatic rule that closes your positions if the floating loss reaches 2% of the starting balance, overall or on one instrument. Two triggers end a Flex Funded or Instant account bought from 27 January 2026.
Does FTUK accept US traders?+
Yes. US residents can trade forex on TradeLocker or Match-Trader, but not MT5.
