Atmos Funded Review
Taurex-backed MT5 firm with 2-Step, Instant and a $5-entry Nova program.
About Atmos Funded
Atmos Funded is a forex prop firm, based in Cyprus. It sells 3 programs — 2-Step Standard, Instant Funding and Nova (1-Step) — with accounts from $5K to $200K and prices from $63. You trade on MT5. Funded traders keep up to 90% of profits, paid on demand by crypto and bank transfer.
Our verdict
“Suits traders who want a very cheap way to test a strategy on MT5 and are fine with funded-stage news restrictions and a trailing drawdown on Nova and Instant. Read the recent Trustpilot payout complaints and the firm's replies before paying.”

Atmos Funded is the prop trading brand of the FX and CFD broker Taurex. You trade forex, metals, indices and a few crypto CFDs on MetaTrader 5, with leverage up to 1:50 on currencies, and you can hold trades overnight and over the weekend on every account. Funded traders start at an 80% split that can rise to 90%.
There are three programs: a classic 2-Step Standard from $63, an Instant Funding account that skips the test, and Nova, a one-step challenge you can start on any size for $5, paying a larger funded fee only if you pass. The catches are a ±2-minute news blackout on funded accounts, trailing drawdowns on Nova and Instant that lock at your starting balance the moment you ask for a payout, and documents that don't always agree with each other. This review goes through all of it with dollar examples.
The short version
- Best for: MT5 forex traders who want a cheap way to test a strategy (Nova) or a classic static-drawdown two-step, and who hold trades overnight or over the weekend.
- Not for: news traders, traders in the US or Belgium, and anyone who wants to withdraw every dollar of profit from a trailing account.
- Biggest strength: the entry price. A Nova attempt on a $100,000 account costs $5, and the 2-Step Standard's static 10% drawdown is easy to plan around.
- Biggest risk: the payout review. Recent Trustpilot reviews describe rejected or stalled payouts, and the customer agreement lets Atmos halt or withdraw payments at its sole discretion after a breach.
- Our score: 3.6 out of 5. Payout options score at the top of our scale, while the short track record and mid-range prices pull it down.
Who runs Atmos Funded
The help center calls Atmos "the proprietary trading program of Taurex" and says it is "fully owned and operated by Taurex". The website footer names two companies:
- Atmos Global Ltd., incorporated in the Union of the Comoros (company number HT00525042, license number BFX2025060), which runs the simulated trading and, per the footer, owns and operates the website.
- AtmosFunded Ltd., a Cyprus company (registration number HE471627) in Nicosia, which owns the brand and provides "all educational products, training resources, challenge programs, and payment-related services".
The customer agreement (version 2, August 2025) is with AtmosFunded Ltd. and is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, with any proceedings held in Cyprus.
Atmos doesn't publish a founding year. Finance Magnates reported on 6 November 2024 that Taurex was preparing to launch Atmos, with the site in pre-launch testing. On 3 March 2026, FX News Group reported that Atmos had registered 20,000 clients.
All trading is simulated. The footer says no real trades take place and that Atmos isn't licensed or regulated by any financial authority. Payouts can be withdrawn or moved into a real Taurex brokerage account.
The rules live in three places: a short rules page, the help center (which the rules page calls "the official source for all program rules"), and the customer agreement (which says its risk policy "will prevail" over the website). Where they differ, we show it.
Programs and prices
Prices below are list prices from Atmos' help center, checked on 28 October 2026, before any coupon. A seasonal discount on 2-Step and Instant was running when we checked. The rules page also mentions a 2-Step Plus (6% target in each phase), but it isn't in the help center or the price tables, so we haven't covered it.
2-Step Standard
The 2-Step Standard is the classic route.
- Phase 1: make 10%. Phase 2: make 5%.
- 5% daily loss, 10% static maximum loss, in both phases and on the funded account.
- At least 3 profitable days per phase, where a day counts if you close it at least 0.5% up.
- No consistency rule. No time limit.
- Funded: 80% split rising to 90%, payouts every 14 days, maximum allocation $400,000.
| Account | Price | Phase 1 target | Phase 2 target | Daily loss | Max loss | Cost per $1K |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $63 | $500 | $250 | $250 | $500 | $12.60 |
| $10,000 | $94 | $1,000 | $500 | $500 | $1,000 | $9.40 |
| $25,000 | $214 | $2,500 | $1,250 | $1,250 | $2,500 | $8.56 |
| $50,000 | $329 | $5,000 | $2,500 | $2,500 | $5,000 | $6.58 |
| $100,000 | $549 | $10,000 | $5,000 | $5,000 | $10,000 | $5.49 |
| $200,000 | $989 | $20,000 | $10,000 | $10,000 | $20,000 | $4.95 |
Worked example, $100,000 2-Step Standard. Your account can never go below $90,000, in the challenge or once funded. On any day you can lose $5,000. Phase 1 ends at $110,000, phase 2 at $105,000, and each profitable day needs at least $500 in closed profit.
Instant Funding
Instant Funding skips the evaluation.
- No target, no minimum days.
- 3% daily loss, 5% trailing maximum loss that locks at the starting balance as soon as you request a payout.
- 20% consistency rule: no single day can be more than 20% of your total profit.
- Funded news rule applies from day one.
- Payouts every 14 days, maximum allocation $200,000.
| Account | Price | Daily loss | Max loss | Cost per $1K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $75 | $150 | $250 | $15.00 |
| $10,000 | $124 | $300 | $500 | $12.40 |
| $25,000 | $240 | $750 | $1,250 | $9.60 |
| $50,000 | $374 | $1,500 | $2,500 | $7.48 |
| $100,000 | $649 | $3,000 | $5,000 | $6.49 |
Worked example, $25,000 Instant. Your floor starts at $23,750 and moves up as your equity makes new highs, until it reaches $25,000. Say you grow the account to $27,000. To pass the consistency check with a best day of $400, you need at least $2,000 of total profit, which you have. When you request a payout, the floor locks at $25,000. Withdraw $1,500 and the balance drops to $25,500, leaving just $500 before a breach. Withdraw the full $2,000 and the account breaches on the spot.
Nova (1-Step)
Nova is a pay-after-you-pass challenge.
- $5 entry fee on every size. Pay the funded fee only after you pass.
- Make 5%, with 4% daily loss and 8% trailing maximum loss. No minimum days in the challenge.
- Funded: same 4% and 8% limits, 7 profitable days (0.5% each) before a payout, payouts on demand, drawdown locks at the starting balance on payout.
- Risk Protection: on the funded account, total risk per symbol (closed and floating) shouldn't exceed 1% in a single day.
- No consistency rule.
| Account | Entry | Funded fee | Total if you pass | Target | Daily loss | Max loss | 1% per-symbol cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | $5 | $79 | $84 | $500 | $400 | $800 | $100 |
| $25,000 | $5 | $184 | $189 | $1,250 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $250 |
| $50,000 | $5 | $345 | $350 | $2,500 | $2,000 | $4,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $5 | $569 | $574 | $5,000 | $4,000 | $8,000 | $1,000 |
| $200,000 | $5 | $1,029 | $1,034 | $10,000 | $8,000 | $16,000 | $2,000 |
If a funded Nova account breaches, you can reset it from the dashboard for 10% off the funded fee: $71, $165, $310, $512 or $926 by size, as many times as you like.
Worked example, $50,000 Nova. You pay $5. Your floor starts at $46,000 and trails your highest equity by $4,000 until it reaches $50,000. You pass at $52,500, then pay $345, complete KYC and sign the agreement. On the funded account, you need seven days with at least $250 closed profit each. The per-symbol rule means a day's total risk on EUR/USD, for example, should stay within $500. Once you request a payout, the floor is fixed at $50,000.
Which Atmos plan should you pick?
Nova is the best starting point for most traders. A failed attempt costs $5, the 5% target is half the 2-Step's phase 1, and you only pay the funded fee once you've proven the strategy works. The total if you pass ($574 for $100,000) is close to a 2-Step Standard, and you get on-demand payouts. The trade-offs are the trailing drawdown, 7 profitable days per payout and the 1% per-symbol cap.
2-Step Standard is the pick if you want a floor that never moves. You get 10% of total room and a 5% daily limit, both fixed from the starting balance, and no consistency rule. It suits swing traders who give back open profit before a trade works. The cost is two targets and payouts only every 14 days.
Instant Funding is the most expensive per dollar of funding and has the tightest limits (3% daily, 5% trailing) plus a 20% consistency rule. Pay for it only if you're confident and want to skip the test entirely.
The cheapest funding is the $200,000 2-Step Standard at $4.95 per $1K. Counting the funded fee, the $200,000 Nova works out at $5.17 per $1K if you pass, and you risk only $5 if you don't.
Trading rules in practice
Drawdown and the daily reset
| Plan | Daily loss | Max loss | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Step Standard | 5% | 10% | Static |
| Nova | 4% | 8% | Trailing, locks at start on payout |
| Instant Funding | 3% | 5% | Trailing, locks at start on payout |
Atmos says drawdown limits are equity-based, so open losses count. The trailing floor follows your highest equity and stops once it reaches the starting balance.
The daily limit resets at the end-of-day rollover, midnight server time. Atmos doesn't state the server's time zone on the pages we read, so check the MT5 clock before you plan around it.
The help center's own examples don't line up. The drawdown-lock article uses a $100,000 Nova with a $94,000 floor, which would be 6%, while the Nova page and the drawdown table say 8% ($92,000). The total-drawdown article's summary also mentions "6%, 10%, or 5%". Plan on 8%, the figure on the Nova page.
Leverage and fees
| Asset | Leverage |
|---|---|
| Forex | 1:50 |
| Metals | 1:15 |
| Indices | 1:10 |
| Crypto | 1:2 |
At 1:50, a $100,000 EUR/USD position needs $2,000 of margin.
Commission is $2.50 per lot per side, or $5 per round trip, on top of variable market spreads. Five 1-lot round trips a day cost $25, which is about 6% of the $400 daily limit on a $10,000 Nova. Swap fees apply on positions held overnight.
News, weekends and overnight
- Challenge phases: trade news freely.
- Funded accounts and Instant: you can't open or close a trade on an affected instrument within 2 minutes before or after a high-impact release. Pending orders, stop losses and take profits that trigger in that window count too. You may hold an existing position through the release.
- Penalty: a soft breach, and the profit from those trades is removed, which can take a few business days.
- Overnight and weekends: allowed on every account.
A stop loss that fires during NFP at 14:31 GMT is treated like a manual close inside the window. If you hold through big releases on a funded account, keep stops far enough away that they won't trigger in the 4-minute window.
EAs, copy trading and hedging
- EAs: the help center says EAs are allowed. The rules page adds that commercial EAs are banned, and others may only be used if they reflect your own strategy.
- Copy trading: the copy trading article says it's "only allowed between your own Accounts with us". The EA article says you can copy from your own live or demo account. Ask support before connecting an outside account.
- Hedging: allowed inside one account. Hedging across Atmos accounts, or between Atmos and another broker or firm, is banned.
Holding times and banned strategies
Atmos publishes several speed rules, and two documents set different numbers:
| Rule | Help center | Customer agreement (August 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum hold | At least 50% of trades open more than 2 minutes | 45 seconds per trade |
| Trade frequency | Not stated | 30 trades per hour per product |
| Tick scalping | Banned, not timed | Trades closed within 15 seconds |
| Reversing after a close | Within 90 seconds banned | Within 90 seconds banned |
Also banned: grid trading, martingale, aggressive averaging, one-sided bets (clusters of trades in one direction), "hyperactivity" (many trades at once in one instrument and direction), all-in trades, latency arbitrage, group or signal trading, and account sharing. Atmos also requires a consistent trading style across all phases. Switching from swing trading to fast scalping after you pass needs approval.
Consistency
Only Instant Funding has a consistency rule: no day can be more than 20% of total profit. On $10,000 of profit, your best day can't exceed $2,000. The consistency article's summary mentions "20% or 45% depending on plan", but its table only lists 20% on Instant.
Inactivity
The help center says a challenge may be closed after 90 days without activity and a funded account after 365 days. The customer agreement says 60 calendar days for a challenge.
How payouts work
| 2-Step Standard | Instant Funding | Nova | |
|---|---|---|---|
| First payout | After 14 days | After 14 days | On demand, after 7 profitable days |
| Then | Every 14 days | Every 14 days | On demand |
| Minimum | $100 | $100 | $100 |
| Drawdown on payout | Unchanged (static) | Locks at start | Locks at start |
| Max allocation | $400,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 |
The 14-day cycle restarts when your previous request is approved. The split starts at 80% and "scales up to 90%" for consistent traders, but Atmos doesn't publish the steps. The customer agreement lists 80/20 and says higher splits "may be available for purchase as account addons".
Methods. Crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH), bank wire, or a transfer into a Taurex brokerage account. The homepage says a Taurex transfer comes with a deposit bonus. Atmos doesn't withhold tax, so you declare payouts yourself.
Timing. The documents disagree:
| Source | Processing time |
|---|---|
| Homepage | "Rewards processed within hours" |
| Rules page and help center | 2 to 5 business days after approval |
| Customer agreement | Up to 3 business days |
Plan for a week from request to money.
Fee refunds. Atmos doesn't refund the challenge fee once you've traded. The help center allows refunds for duplicate payments or accounts that were never delivered. The customer agreement allows a refund if you haven't placed a trade and ask within 14 calendar days. There's no fee bonus on payouts.
KYC and the agreement. For Nova, the steps after passing are: pay the funded fee, upload ID (national ID, passport or driver's license), and sign the agreement. Atmos says it reviews documents within a few hours. For the 2-Step, the help center says Atmos verifies a passed account within 24 to 48 hours. Some Trustpilot reviewers also describe interviews about their strategy before a payout.
Scaling. To qualify for the scaling program, you need at least 4 months with Atmos, at least 2 payouts and more than 15% total profit, with no rule breaches. Atmos doesn't say how much the balance increases.
Who can sign up
The footer lists these restricted jurisdictions: the United States, Belgium, North Korea, Russia, Iraq, American Samoa, Belarus, the Northern Mariana Islands, Palestine, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, the US Virgin Islands, Wallis and Futuna, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
The customer agreement's list is longer and adds, among others, Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Haiti, Nicaragua and the United Arab Emirates. Both say "including, but not limited to". If you live anywhere near either list, get a written answer from support before you buy.
US traders can't sign up. Payment options are broad: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, crypto, PayPal, Revolut and many local methods.
Reputation
On Trustpilot, Atmos Funded scores 3.3 out of 5 from 346 reviews, checked on 28 October 2026 (310 of them in the last 12 months). The split is 57% five-star, 6% four-star, 2% three-star, 2% two-star and 33% one-star. Atmos claimed its profile in May 2025, pays for a Trustpilot subscription, and had replied to 80% of negative reviews, typically within a week. Trustpilot shows a banner saying the company "may be associated with high-risk investments" and notes that the profile was merged with others. See the Trustpilot page.
Positive reviews mention the Nova challenge, clear rules, a fair risk interview and payouts arriving on time. The negative ones, mostly from September and October 2026, describe payouts or withdrawals rejected or stalled (some after strategy interviews), rules they felt were applied unevenly, and surprise at the funded fee after passing Nova. Many one-star reviews call the firm a scam without account details. In its replies, Atmos often says it can't find a matching account and describes some of the reviews as "coordinated review activity".
We found no regulator actions naming Atmos Funded. The homepage claims more than $2.2M paid to traders.

- City Traders Imperium: worth a look if you want a higher split (up to 100% vs 90%) and Match-Trader.
- Funded Trading Plus: worth a look if you want Match-Trader.
Mistakes to avoid at Atmos Funded
- Withdrawing all the profit from Nova or Instant. The floor locks at your starting balance when you request a payout. Take out everything and the account breaches immediately.
- Leaving stops near price during funded-account news. A stop or take profit that fires within 2 minutes of a high-impact release counts as a trade in the window, and its profit is removed.
- Over-trading one symbol on funded Nova. Keep total daily risk per symbol under 1% of the account, $1,000 on a $100,000.
- Scalping too fast. At least half your trades should stay open more than 2 minutes, and never reverse a position within 90 seconds of closing it.
- Changing your style after passing. Atmos wants the same approach in every phase. A swing trader who turns scalper once funded can lose the account.
- Forgetting the funded fee. Nova costs $5 to start but $79 to $1,029 to activate. Have it ready before you pass.
Before you buy: checklist
- Decide between static (2-Step) and trailing (Nova, Instant) drawdown before comparing prices.
- Check your country against both the footer list and the customer agreement.
- Read the news and anti-gambling articles in the help center, since those cause most profit removals.
- Plan your payouts to leave a buffer above the locked floor on Nova and Instant.
- Confirm the current split milestones with support, because Atmos doesn't publish them.
- Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our Atmos Funded coupon page for how to apply it.
Our verdict
Atmos Funded is a reasonable choice for MT5 forex traders, mainly because of Nova. Risking $5 to prove a strategy before paying a funded fee is very cheap, and the 2-Step Standard's static floor and lack of a consistency rule suit traders who hold overnight and over weekends.
Be careful with the details. The documents disagree on processing times, hold times, inactivity and copy trading, the split steps aren't published, and recent Trustpilot reviews describe payout rejections. Trade one account, keep your style consistent from challenge to funded, stay clear of the news window, and take your first payout small.

Reported payout problems
October 2026 · Trustpilot reviews
About 11 of the 20 most recent 1-star Trustpilot reviews (dated 23 Sep to 21 Oct 2026) said a payout was rejected, refused or not paid, several after an interview about trading style; a few are second-hand accounts. Examples traders reported: a $2,750 payout rejected after an earlier $300 payout was approved, and about $1,700 of profit unpaid with only fees refunded. The firm replied to every visible 1-star review: it said many name no account or payout request on record, called some reviews coordinated review activity, and said payout decisions follow published rules and documented evidence. These are unverified trader claims with no news or regulator backing found.
