About Funded Trading Plus

Funded Trading Plus is a forex prop firm founded in 2021, based in United Kingdom. It sells 4 programs — 1-Step Express, 2-Step Classic, Instant Funding and Activation Account (pass now, pay later) — with accounts from $5K to $200K and prices from $89. You trade on MT5 and Match-Trader. Funded traders keep up to 90% of profits, paid weekly by crypto and Rise.

Our verdict

“Suits traders who want a mid-priced instant or 1-step account with weekly rewards and news trading, or a near-free pay-later route; the Trustpilot warning and the May 2026 ownership change are worth weighing first.”

Full Funded Trading Plus review

16 min read · Updated Oct 28, 2026

Funded Trading Plus (FT+) is a UK-based forex prop firm that has been selling evaluations since 2021. It now has three main programs: a 1-Step Express challenge, a 2-Step Classic challenge and an Instant Funding account. You trade forex, gold and silver, indices, oil and crypto CFDs on MT5 or Match-Trader, and every account is swap-free. Prices start at $89 for a $10,000 2-Step Classic.

The headline feature is payout speed. On the 1-Step Express and Instant accounts you can request a payout from the first day you're funded, then every 7 days, with a $50 minimum. The trade-offs: the 1-Step and Instant accounts use a trailing drawdown, the 2-Step has a consistency rule and a 3% per-symbol loss limit that closes the account, no new program refunds the fee, and the firm changed hands in May 2026 when Instant Funding bought it. This review goes through all of it with dollar examples.

The short version

  • Best for: forex day traders who want to get paid early and often, and who are comfortable with a trailing drawdown that locks at the starting balance.
  • Not for: traders who want a refundable fee, anyone who makes most of their money on one big day (on the 2-Step), and Instant traders who need to hold over the weekend.
  • Biggest strength: payouts on demand from day one on the 1-Step Express and Instant accounts, then weekly, with a $50 minimum and a published 2-business-day processing target.
  • Biggest risk: the rule set differs a lot by program, and FT+'s own pages disagree on details such as when the daily loss limit resets. Read the help-center article for your exact program before trading.
  • Our score: 3.7 out of 5. Strong on payouts and track record, weaker on price per dollar of funding and on how much the rules vary.

Who runs Funded Trading Plus

FT+ says it has operated "since 2021". Its terms, last updated on 26 May 2026, name two companies. Acello Ltd, incorporated in England and Wales (company number 12696083) with registered offices at 30 Old Bailey, London, owns and operates the website and trading services. IF Pro Ltd, an International Business Company in Saint Lucia (registration 2025-00056), is named as the provider of the simulated programs, with Acello as its payment agent. The terms we read don't state a governing law or a court for disputes.

Finance Magnates reported on 26 May 2026 that Instant Funding had acquired Funded Trading Plus, and that both firms would keep operating independently with no immediate changes to accounts, payouts or rules. FT+'s help center confirms the acquisition and says card payments made from 29 June 2026 show "ACELLO LTD" on bank statements instead of "FTP LONDON LTD".

The terms say FT+ isn't authorized or regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. All accounts are simulated, and payouts are rewards paid by the firm. If you pass, you sign a "Contracted Researcher Agreement" before you get a funded account.

You trade on MT5 or Match-Trader. The rules are spread across the program pages, the help center and the terms. The help center has one article per program, and those are the most detailed source.

Programs and prices

Prices below are list prices in USD from each program page, checked on 28 October 2026, before any code. One more thing to note: the program pages say prices "include VAT", while the terms say "All prices on our Website are exclusive of VAT". Check the total at checkout.

FT+ has also added "Activation Accounts": a one-phase, 2% target challenge that costs $4 to start, with an activation fee of $179, $299 or $489 (for $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000) due only after you pass. We focus on the three main programs below.

1-Step Express

  • Make 10% in one phase.
  • 4% daily loss, measured from the previous day's closing balance.
  • 6% maximum loss that trails your closed balance until it reaches the starting balance, then stops. See trailing drawdown.
  • No minimum trading days, no time limit.
  • Split 80%, or 90% after 20% profit on the funded account or with a paid add-on.
  • Leverage up to 1:30 on forex.
  • Payouts from day 1 on the funded account, then every 7 days. Minimum $50.
AccountPriceTargetDaily loss (at start)Max loss
$10,000$99$1,000$400$600
$25,000$199$2,500$1,000$1,500
$50,000$349$5,000$2,000$3,000
$100,000$549$10,000$4,000$6,000
$200,000$999$20,000$8,000$12,000

Worked example, $100,000 1-Step Express. You start with a floor of $94,000. Close a winning day at $104,000 and the floor moves up to $98,000, because it trails your highest closed balance by $6,000. Once your closed balance reaches $106,000, the floor locks at $100,000 for good. The daily limit is 4% of the previous close, so after that $104,000 day your equity can't drop below $99,840 the next day. You pass at $110,000.

Because the trailing is based on closed balance, open profit doesn't drag the floor up. Only closed trades move it.

2-Step Classic

  • Phase 1: make 7%. Phase 2: make 7%.
  • 4% daily loss from the previous day's closing balance.
  • 8% maximum loss, static from the starting balance.
  • 35% consistency rule in both phases and 50% on the funded account.
  • 3% symbol loss limit, a hard rule that closes the account.
  • Split 80%, or 85% with a paid add-on. Leverage up to 1:50 on forex.
  • First payout 10 days after the funded account is created, then every 10 days. Minimum payout 1% of the starting balance.
AccountPricePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily loss (at start)Max lossSymbol loss limit (3%)
$10,000$89$700$700$400$800$300
$25,000$169$1,750$1,750$1,000$2,000$750
$50,000$319$3,500$3,500$2,000$4,000$1,500
$100,000$549$7,000$7,000$4,000$8,000$3,000

Worked example, $50,000 2-Step Classic. Your floor is $46,000 and never moves. On day one you can lose $2,000. Phase 1 needs $3,500 of closed profit, so $53,500. Under the 35% rule, no single day can account for more than $1,225 of that $3,500. Make $2,000 on your best day and you have to keep trading until total profit reaches about $5,715, so that $2,000 falls under 35%. Separately, open losses on any one symbol, such as several EUR/USD trades combined, can't reach $1,500 (3% of the prior day's balance) or the account closes.

Instant Funding

  • No evaluation and no profit target.
  • 6% daily loss and 6% trailing maximum loss.
  • No weekend holding: all trades must be closed by 4:30pm New York time on Friday, or the system closes them.
  • Split 80%, or 90% after 20% profit or with an add-on. Leverage up to 1:30.
  • Payouts from day 1, then every 7 days, minimum $50.
AccountPriceDaily loss (at start)Max loss
$5,000$249$300$300
$10,000$429$600$600
$25,000$1,099$1,500$1,500
$50,000$2,199$3,000$3,000
$100,000$4,499$6,000$6,000

Worked example, $10,000 Instant. Your floor starts at $9,400 and trails your closed balance until it reaches $10,000. The daily limit is also 6%, so at the start a single bad day of $600 ends the account. Make $500 in your first week and you can request it straight away, receiving $400 at 80%.

Which Funded Trading Plus plan should you pick?

The 2-Step Classic is the cheapest way in and the only plan with a static drawdown. A $10,000 account costs $89, and 8% of fixed room against two 7% targets is fair. The catches are the consistency rule, the 3% symbol limit, and a 10-day payout cycle. It suits steady traders who spread risk across instruments.

The 1-Step Express is the better pick if you want to get paid quickly. One target, payouts from day one, and weekly after that. The trailing drawdown is the price: until you've made 6%, every new high in your closed balance raises the floor.

Instant Funding is expensive. A $100,000 account costs $4,499, more than eight times the $549 1-Step at the same size, and it has a trailing drawdown and no weekend holding. It only makes sense if you have a proven record and want to skip evaluation entirely.

By cost per $1,000 of funding, the cheapest option is the $200,000 1-Step Express at about $5.00 per $1K. The $100,000 1-Step and $100,000 2-Step tie at $5.49 per $1K, and for most traders the $100,000 2-Step is the best value because of its static drawdown. Instant works out to $42.90 to $49.80 per $1K.

Trading rules in practice

Drawdown and the daily reset

The daily loss limit is a percentage of the previous day's closing balance, not the starting balance. On a $100,000 account that closed at $105,000, the 4% limit is $4,200, so equity can't go below $100,800 that day. Daily and maximum loss limits are hard rules: touch either one, in equity or closed balance, and the account closes.

The reset time is where FT+'s documents disagree:

DocumentReset timeMeasured from
Terms (26 May 2026)16:59 New York timeBalance (higher of balance or equity only on legacy Prestige programs)
Help center, daily drawdown articles16:59 New York timeBalance, or higher of balance or equity on Instant
1-Step and 2-Step program articles23:59 server timePrevious day's closed balance
Instant program article17:00 New York timeHigher of closed balance or equity
Instant program page FAQ23:59 server timePrevious day's closed balance

Plan around 16:59 New York time, which the terms and the dedicated drawdown articles share. On Instant, assume the snapshot uses whichever is higher of balance and equity. That's the stricter version, because open profit at the reset raises your floor.

The 3% symbol loss limit (2-Step only)

On the 2-Step Classic, combined losses on any single symbol can't reach 3% of the previous day's 16:59 balance. Several trades on the same symbol count as one. Breaking it closes the account in either phase or on the funded account. On a $100,000 account that closed yesterday at $102,000, the limit is $3,060 on any one symbol. The 2-Step program page describes the rule differently, as no single asset accounting for more than 3% of your "total simulated risk/positioning", so read the help-center version and stay well inside it.

Consistency (2-Step only)

No single day's closed profit can exceed 35% of total profit in each challenge phase, or 50% of profit in the current payout period on the funded account. It doesn't close the account. It just stops you passing or withdrawing until the ratio is back in line. After a payout, the count starts again. The 1-Step Express and Instant accounts have no consistency rule.

Leverage and fees

Instrument1-Step Express and Instant2-Step Classic
Forex1:301:50
Gold and silver1:201:20
Indices1:201:20
Oil1:51:5
Crypto1:21:2

FT+ doesn't publish commission rates in its help center. It points you to shared demo accounts to test spreads and fees yourself, so we can't give a reliable round-trip cost. Every current program is swap-free, so holding overnight costs nothing extra.

News trading and the margin review

News trading is allowed on all three programs. What FT+ watches instead is margin use. Payout requests, passes and scaling requests trigger an automatic check, and if margin use is above these levels, a person reviews the account:

Account sizeMargin level that triggers review
$5,00075%
$10,00070%
$25,000 and $50,00065%
$100,00060%
$200,00055%
$250,000 and above50%

Going over isn't a breach on its own. FT+'s own examples say a news trade with modest margin held for 30 minutes is likely fine, while 90% margin held for 10 seconds during payrolls is likely treated as a "coin-flip". At 1:30, one lot of EUR/USD at 1.10 uses about $3,667 of margin, so the 70% trigger on a $10,000 1-Step is reached at roughly 1.9 lots.

The terms list prohibited strategies: excessive risk on one trade or overlapping trades, "boom or bust" news bets, exploiting price-feed errors or delays, arbitrage and tick scalping. Penalties range from losing a pass or the funded profit to account closure or a ban.

Weekend and overnight holding

Overnight holding is fine on every program. Weekend holding is allowed on the 1-Step Express and 2-Step Classic. On Instant, all trades must be closed by 4:30pm New York time on Friday, and anything left open is closed automatically at market. FT+ says you can still trade at the weekend on Instant; the rule is about carrying positions over from Friday.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

EAs, algos and bots are allowed, but FT+ doesn't support them and can ask for access to the software, logs or source code. Copy trading is allowed between your own accounts only. Hedging within one account is allowed, while opposite positions across accounts are banned.

Inactivity

There's no time limit on any program. You must open and close at least one trade every 30 days, or the account is closed as a hard breach. FT+ emails a reminder 7 days before.

How payouts work

1-Step Express2-Step ClassicInstant
First payoutDay 1 of funded account10 days after funded account is createdDay 1
ThenEvery 7 daysEvery 10 daysEvery 7 days
Minimum$501% of starting balance$50
Split80%, 90% after 20% profit80%, 85% with add-on80%, 90% after 20% profit
Extra conditionNone50% consistency metNone

Add-ons at checkout can raise the starting split (+15% on price) or, on the 1-Step and Instant, allow payouts every 3 days (+15%). The program pages advertise "Up to 100% Reward Split", but the help center only describes 80% and 90%, so don't count on more than 90%.

You request a payout from the dashboard with no open trades. FT+ says the standard review takes 2 business days, Monday to Friday, and most are paid the same day. If a request is flagged for a risk review, the estimate moves to 5 to 7 business days. Payouts go out by crypto or Rise, and FT+ can also choose to refund to your original card.

Fee refund. None on programs launched from 7 February 2026, which covers the 1-Step Express and 2-Step Classic. Only legacy programs had a refund. You can cancel within 14 days for a full refund if you haven't placed a trade.

Identity checks. KYC runs through Sumsub (email, live selfie, government photo ID) and is required before you receive a funded account or any payout. The help center asks you to finish it within 3 days or the account is paused. You also need to sign the Contracted Researcher Agreement.

Scaling. On the 1-Step Express and Instant, every 10% of new closed profit lets you request the next level, which roughly doubles the account ($50,000 to $100,000, $100,000 to $200,000 and so on) up to $2.5 million. A +15% add-on extends that to $5 million. On the 2-Step Classic you need 20% profit, at least one payout and two months of activity, and each level is about 50% larger, up to $2.5 million. Scaling also requires a flat account and passes through risk review.

Account limits. You can hold up to two funded 1-Step accounts worth $200,000 in total, only one funded 2-Step account (and not alongside a funded 1-Step), and any number of Instant accounts.

Who can sign up

You must be 18 or older. FT+ doesn't do business with traders from Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Liberia, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Yemen and Zimbabwe, plus the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine.

US traders aren't on the restricted list, but MT5 isn't available in the US, so you'd trade on Match-Trader. You can pay by card or crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT on ERC-20 or TRC-20, USDC and Binance Pay).

Reputation

On Trustpilot, Funded Trading Plus's profile carries a warning: the rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot's guidelines, and Trustpilot says it has removed a number of fake reviews for the company. The profile lists 2,668 reviews, 165 of them in the last 12 months, with 89% five-star and 4% one-star. We checked on 28 October 2026. The page didn't show a claimed badge or a reply rate, though the company replies to many negative reviews. See the Trustpilot page.

With the TrustScore withheld and fake reviews removed, the star split isn't a reliable signal. The positive reviews mostly praise clear rules, fast payouts and responsive support. Recent negative reviews, mostly from July to October 2026, describe slow or disputed payouts, funded accounts not activated for days or weeks, disputed stop-outs and slippage, unanswered tickets, and a decline in service that reviewers link to the Instant Funding acquisition.

We found no regulator action or complaint coverage about FT+ in Finance Magnates, FX News Group or FinanceFeeds, apart from the acquisition news. FT+'s homepage claims more than $19.5 million in trader rewards from 2021 to 2026 (data last refreshed in February 2026) and a highest single reward of $189,083. Those are the firm's own figures.

Mistakes to avoid at Funded Trading Plus

  1. Treating the 1-Step drawdown as static. Until your closed balance is 6% above the start, every new high raises the floor. A $100,000 account at $105,000 has only $6,000 of room, not $11,000.
  2. Stacking trades on one symbol on the 2-Step. Three gold trades losing $1,100 each on a $100,000 account add up to more than $3,000 and close the account.
  3. Having one huge day on the 2-Step. A day worth more than 35% of a phase's profit means you keep trading past the target.
  4. Holding into Friday afternoon on Instant. Anything open at 4:30pm New York time is closed for you, possibly with slippage.
  5. Using most of your margin around news. Over 60% to 75% margin, depending on size, sends your payout to manual review.
  6. Forgetting the 30-day activity rule. One opened and closed trade a month keeps the account alive.

Before you buy: checklist

  • Pick a program for its drawdown type first: static on the 2-Step, trailing on the 1-Step and Instant.
  • Check whether VAT is added at checkout.
  • Read the help-center article for your exact program, and assume the daily limit resets at 16:59 New York time.
  • If you're in the US, confirm Match-Trader works for you.
  • Complete KYC as soon as you pass.
  • Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our Funded Trading Plus coupon page for how to apply it.

Our verdict

Funded Trading Plus suits traders who want frequent payouts with few hoops. The 1-Step Express pays from day one and weekly after that, and the 2-Step Classic is a fair, cheap static-drawdown evaluation if you can live with the consistency and symbol rules.

The weak points are real. No new program refunds the fee, Instant is expensive, documents disagree on basic rules like the daily reset, and the Trustpilot rating is withheld after fake reviews were removed. Since the May 2026 acquisition by Instant Funding, recent reviews also mention slower support. Start with a small account and test the payout process before you scale up.
