About Orion Funded

Orion Funded is a forex prop firm founded in 2023, based in United Arab Emirates. It sells 4 programs — Orion Select (3-Step), Orion Standard (2-Step), Orion Zero (Instant) and Orion Nova (1-Step, Pay After You Pass) — with accounts from $5K to $200K and prices from $49. You trade on MT5 and Match-Trader. Funded traders keep up to 90% of profits, paid every 2 weeks by Rise.

Our verdict

“Suits traders who want low entry fees, clear published rules and a fee refund after four payouts. Treat the post-evaluation review step as the main risk until more payout evidence is public.”

Full Orion Funded review

17 min read · Updated Oct 28, 2026

Orion Funded is a forex and CFD prop firm that has sold evaluations since 2023. You trade forex, indices, metals, commodities, stocks and crypto CFDs on MT5 or Match-Trader, and you can pick a three-step, two-step, instant or pay-after-you-pass program. Every funded account starts at an 80% split, rewards run on a 14-day cycle with no waiting period for the first one, and your program fee comes back with your fourth reward.

The prices are reasonable and the help center is detailed. The main catch is that Orion's own documents don't agree with each other. The terms, last updated 22 March 2026, describe different drawdown limits, holding rules, minimum days and scaling eligibility from the help center and program pages. This review uses the help center and program pages as the main source, flags every conflict we found, and works through each program in dollars.

The short version

  • Best for: forex and index traders who want a cheap multi-step evaluation with static drawdown, no time limit and a fee that comes back once you're paid consistently.
  • Not for: traders who want instant funding at a fair price, or anyone who trades around high-impact news on a funded Standard or Select account.
  • Biggest strength: the payout terms. A 14-day cycle from day one, a 48-hour processing guarantee with compensation if Orion misses it, and a 4.5 Trustpilot score from more than 2,000 reviews.
  • Biggest risk: conflicting documents. The terms and help center disagree on Swing's drawdown, overnight holding on Standard, minimum days and whether Zero can scale.
  • Our score: 3.8 out of 5. Strong on payouts and track record for its age, with points lost for the news rules, a consistency rule on Zero and the mismatched paperwork.

Who runs Orion Funded

Orion's terms and conditions, last updated 22 March 2026, name the provider as OGM International Ltd, a company set up under the laws of Saint Lucia with its registered office at The Sotheby Building, Rodney Village, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet. The website footer gives a different Saint Lucia address (Unit 1, La Place Creole, Rodney Bay Village) and names a second entity, Orion Global FZCO, without an address. The terms are governed by Saint Lucia law, and disputes go to the courts of Saint Lucia.

The terms say plainly that Orion is not regulated by any financial authority, and that you get no regulatory protection. Every account is simulated: Orion says no live orders are placed for you and its trades are fictional. Once you pass, Orion recommends you to an unnamed third-party entity that offers the funded-stage contract, called the Orion Trader Program. Passing doesn't guarantee acceptance, and the application review can take 1 to 2 business days.

The help center says Orion has operated since 2023, and the site was running a third-anniversary promotion in October 2026. The rulebook is a public, searchable help center, plus program pages and the terms PDF. You can also ask for read-only access to a demo account to check spreads and conditions before buying, which few firms offer.

Programs and prices

Orion's builder sells three programs: Select, Standard (with a Swing mode) and Zero. A fourth, Nova, has its own page. Prices below are list prices from Orion's program pages, checked 28 October 2026. The builder was also showing a new-user discount that halves the price ($205 instead of $409 on the $100,000 Select) and an anniversary promotion. Note that the terms say program fees are set in euros and converted at checkout, so check the currency on the payment page.

Orion Select (3-Step)

Select has the cheapest prices and the most steps.

  • Three phases, each with a 5% target.
  • 5% daily loss and 5% total loss, static from the initial balance.
  • Minimum 4 trading days in each evaluation phase, none once funded. No time limit.
  • Lower leverage: 1:30 on forex.
  • Funded: 80% split, 90% after scaling. 2-minute news window either side of high-impact events. No best-day rule.
AccountPriceTarget per phaseDaily lossMax loss
$5,000$59$250$250$250
$10,000$89$500$500$500
$25,000$179$1,250$1,250$1,250
$50,000$299$2,500$2,500$2,500

$200,000$739$10,000$10,000$10,000

Worked example, $50,000 Select. Your floor is fixed at $47,500, and you pass phase 1 at $52,500. Phases 2 and 3 ask for the same 5%. Your daily limit is 5% of the higher of yesterday's closing balance or equity, so on day one it's $2,500, the same as your total room. If you close day one at $51,000, the next day's limit is $2,550, which puts the daily floor at $48,450; the static $47,500 floor still applies underneath. You need to do this three times, so the real test is staying patient for 15% of total gains with only 5% of room in any phase.

Orion Standard (2-Step)

Standard is the classic two-step, built for day traders.

  • Two phases with a 6% target each.
  • 3% daily loss and 6% total loss, static from the initial balance.
  • Minimum 4 trading days per phase, none once funded. No time limit.
  • Higher leverage: 1:100 on forex.
  • Funded: 80% split, 90% after scaling. 2-minute news window either side of high-impact events.
AccountPricePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily lossMax loss
$5,000$49$300$300$150$300
$10,000$99$600$600$300$600
$25,000$209$1,500$1,500$750$1,500
$50,000$329$3,000$3,000$1,500$3,000
$100,000$629$6,000$6,000$3,000$6,000
$200,000$1,149$12,000$12,000$6,000$12,000

Worked example, $100,000 Standard. Your floor is $94,000 and never moves. You can lose about $3,000 on a given day, measured from the higher of the previous close's balance or equity. You pass phase 1 at $106,000, then repeat the same 6% target in phase 2. Two losing days at the daily limit leave you at the floor, so most traders size well under 1% per trade here.

Standard in Swing mode

Swing is a mode of Standard at the same prices, with wider limits and lower leverage.

  • 8% target in phase 1, 5% in phase 2.
  • 5% daily loss and 8% total loss per the help center. The terms say 10%.
  • Minimum 4 trading days per phase. Leverage 1:30 on forex.
  • No news restriction once funded.
AccountPricePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily lossMax loss (help center)Max loss (terms)
$5,000$49$400$250$250$400$500

$25,000$209$2,000$1,250$1,250$2,000$2,500
$50,000$329$4,000$2,500$2,500$4,000$5,000
$100,000$629$8,000$5,000$5,000$8,000$10,000
$200,000$1,149$16,000$10,000$10,000$16,000$20,000

Worked example, $25,000 Swing. Plan on a floor of $23,000 (8%), not the $22,500 the terms would allow. Phase 1 passes at $27,000, phase 2 at $26,250, and you can lose $1,250 in a day. That's a far kinder ratio than Standard: in phase 2 your target is $1,250 against $2,000 of total room.

Orion Zero (Instant)

Zero skips the evaluation. You pay more and trade a funded account from day one.

  • No profit target. 3% daily loss.
  • 6% max loss with a "trailing lock": the floor follows your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance, then stops for good.
  • Best-day rule: no single day can be more than 20% of the profit in a reward cycle.
  • The first 3% of profit isn't eligible for a reward. Orion calls it a buffer against hitting the daily limit while a request is processed.
  • News: trading is allowed, but trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of a high-impact event pay 50% instead of 80%.
  • Leverage 1:100 on forex.
AccountPriceDaily lossMax lossProfit you can't withdraw (3%)
$5,000$199$150$300$150
$10,000$349$300$600$300
$25,000$499$750$1,500$750
$50,000$799$1,500$3,000$1,500
$100,000$1,149$3,000$6,000$3,000

Worked example, $25,000 Zero. Your floor starts at $23,500 and rises with your closed balance until your balance reaches $26,500, at which point it locks at $25,000. Say you grow the account to $27,500 over a cycle, with a best day of $500. That's $2,500 of profit, and $500 is exactly 20% of it, so you can request. The first $750 isn't eligible, which leaves $1,750, and at 80% you'd receive $1,400. Had your best day been $800, you'd need $4,000 of cycle profit before requesting.

Orion Nova (1-Step, pay after you pass)

Nova isn't in our comparison data yet, so here are the basics from its program page. You pay $7 to start and an activation fee only after passing: $69, $109, $209, $349, $669 or $1,099 for the $5,000 to $200,000 sizes. The target is 4%, with a 4% daily and 8% total loss in the evaluation, tightening to 3% and 5% once funded, where the 20% best-day rule and the 3% buffer also apply. The help center says the activation fee is due within 30 days of passing. Orion's pages disagree on Nova's drawdown type (the help center says trailing lock, the Nova page says it's measured on the initial balance) and its payout timing (the Nova page says both "daily" and "bi-weekly"). The terms don't mention Nova at all; they still describe an older one-step, Orion Lite, with a 10% target.

Which Orion Funded plan should you pick?

Swing is the best-balanced plan for most traders. It costs the same as Standard, gives you 8% total room against 8% and 5% targets, and has no funded news restriction. The trade-off is 1:30 leverage, which is plenty for normal position sizes.

Standard suits intraday traders who want 1:100 leverage. The 3% daily limit and 6% total loss against two 6% targets make it the tightest two-step ratio Orion sells.

Select is the cheapest by far, but its 5% total loss equals each 5% target and the daily limit, so one bad day can end any phase. Pick it if your strategy has small, steady returns and you don't mind three phases.

Zero is expensive for what it is. The $25,000 Zero costs $499, more than double the $209 Standard at the same size, and you then lose the first 3% of profit and work under a best-day rule. It makes sense only if you value skipping the evaluation over cost.

By cost per $1,000, the cheapest plan is the $200,000 Select at $3.70 per $1K ($739 divided by 200). The best value with real room to trade is the $200,000 Standard or Swing at about $5.75 per $1K, and the fee comes back on your fourth reward if you get that far.

Trading rules in practice

Drawdown and the daily reset

Select, Standard and Swing use static drawdown: the floor is set once from the initial balance and never moves. Zero (and Nova, per the help center) use a trailing lock that follows your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance.

The daily limit resets at midnight UTC, which is 8pm in New York during US daylight saving time (7pm in winter). It's based on the higher of the previous day's closing balance or closing equity, and it's checked against real-time equity. Floating losses, swaps and commissions all count, so an open trade that dips through the line breaches you even if it later recovers.

Orion's help center gives this example: on a $52,340 balance with a 3% limit, the daily allowance is $1,570.20 and the threshold is $50,769.80.

Leverage and commissions

Leverage is preset by program and asset class:

Asset classZero, Nova, StandardSwing, SelectCommission
Forex1:1001:30$4 per lot
Indices1:501:15None
Metals1:301:9$4 per lot
Commodities1:3.31:3.3$4 per lot
Stocks1:11:1None
Crypto1:11:1None

The help center doesn't say whether $4 per lot is charged per side or per round trip. On a 2-lot EUR/USD trade, that's $8 if it's a round-trip figure and $16 if it's charged on entry and exit. Index CFDs carry no commission, which helps index scalpers.

News, overnight and weekends

News rules depend on program and phase:

ProgramEvaluationFunded
Select, Standard, NovaNo timing restrictionNo opening, closing, modifying or placing stops from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a high-impact event
SwingNo timing restrictionNo restriction
Zeron/aTrading allowed, but trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of the event pay 50% instead of 80%

Orion uses Forex Factory's high-impact events and its own dashboard calendar. Breaking the funded window lets Orion adjust, deduct or void the related profit, and repeated breaches can close the account. Separately, "news trading as a strategy" is banned in every phase, including evaluations: directional bets placed just before a release, or systematically firing trades around it.

On holding, the documents conflict:

TopicHelp centerTerms (22 March 2026)
Overnight and weekend holdingAllowed on every programNot permitted on Standard
Minimum trading days4 per evaluation phaseTrades on at least 3 calendar days per phase
Swing max loss8%10%
Scaling for ZeroEligibleNot eligible

The terms also ban gap trading, which includes holding trades designed to profit from the weekend open. If you hold Standard trades over a weekend, get written confirmation from support first.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

EAs are allowed unless they send more than 2,000 server requests a day (opens, modifications and closes combined). Martingale and grid trading are banned, and the terms treat four or more simultaneous positions in the same asset as a direct sign of grid trading. That one catches traders who scale in with several entries.

Copy trading is allowed between accounts you own; external copy services and copying between different people are banned. Hedging inside one account is permitted, but opposing positions across accounts are not. Account sharing, trading for others and exploiting feed errors or latency are all prohibited.

Consistency and risk rules

Only Zero and funded Nova have a consistency rule: your best day can't exceed 20% of the cycle's profit. Breaking it doesn't breach the account; you just can't request until it's back under 20%. Select, Standard and Swing have no best-day rule.

The terms add softer risk rules. Orion recommends keeping risk under 1% per trade idea but says that's guidance, not a hard rule. It does reserve the right to act on position sizes far larger than your usual, sudden changes in trade count, concentrated exposure to one symbol and "gambling" behavior.

Inactivity

An account with no trades for 30 consecutive calendar days expires. You can ask support for a free replacement, but that's at Orion's discretion.

How payouts work

Rewards run on a 14-day cycle with no initial waiting period. Once funded, you can request as soon as you're in profit with no open positions, and the next window opens 14 days after each approved reward. Trading is paused while a request is under review.

Split. 80% on every program from the first reward, rising to 90% once you qualify for scaling. On Zero, profit from trades within 5 minutes of high-impact news pays 50%.

Processing. The homepage claims an average processing time under 5 hours. The terms set a 48-hour guarantee: if an approved reward isn't processed within 48 hours of approval, you can request 100% of the reward split plus a full refund of the program price. You have to ask for it.

Methods. Rewards are paid through the methods shown in your Client Section. The help center's setup guides cover Rise, which Orion says can pay in local currency or crypto. No minimum reward or per-cycle cap is published.

Fee refund. Your program fee is refunded with your fourth successful reward, per the help center and terms. The documents differ on whether that includes Zero:

SourceWhat it says
Help centerFee return "applies to all programs"
Zero program pageEach Zero card shows "100% Refund"
TermsRefund for clients "who pass the evaluation" after four reward splits
Challenge builder (our check on 27 October 2026)Zero fee marked non-refundable

Treat the Zero fee as non-refundable unless support confirms otherwise in writing.

KYC. You verify after passing and before the funded contract, within 30 calendar days. Individuals need a government ID and proof of address from the last 3 months; Orion says checks usually take under 1 business day for individuals and up to 3 for companies.

Scaling. Every 3 months, a funded account that makes 15% in a rolling 3-month period, has at least 2 positive months out of 3 and completes at least 3 rewards gets a 25% balance increase and a 90% split. Increases repeat up to $4,000,000 across your accounts. A $100,000 account that qualifies once becomes a $125,000 account. The help center includes Zero in the scaling plan; the terms exclude it.

Refunds before trading. You can withdraw within 14 days of purchase for a refund within 30 days, but only if you haven't opened a trade. There are no resets; a failed account means a new purchase.

Who can sign up

The help center names the United Arab Emirates, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Bangladesh, and says the full list is on the website. The terms' list adds American Samoa, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Bouvet Island, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chad, the Comoros, the Cook Islands, Eritrea, Fiji, Grenada and Tuvalu, but leaves out Vietnam. Treat both lists as restricted.

The United States isn't named on either list. You must be 18 or older, not under international sanctions and without a record of financial crime or terrorism. Companies can sign up if their beneficial owner qualifies. You can only have one Client Section.

Reputation

Orion has a TrustScore of 4.5 out of 5 from 2,198 reviews on Trustpilot, checked 28 October 2026, with 1,709 of them from the last 12 months. The split is 84% five-star, 6% four-star, 1% three-star, under 1% two-star and 8% one-star. Orion claimed the profile in January 2024, pays for a Trustpilot subscription, invites customers to leave reviews, and had replied to 97% of negative reviews, usually within a week. Nine of the ten most recent reviews were five-star.

Positive reviews mostly mention fast payouts, quick responses from support (including WhatsApp) and the static drawdown. Negative reviews mostly describe payouts denied after a rule review, with Orion replying in at least one case that the trader broke the grid-trading rule, along with complaints about Zero's price and profit buffer.

Orion's own payout claims vary by page. The Select page alone shows "$3.2M+" processed, "$6M+" paid and "+$6.6M" in rewards, without saying when each was measured. We found no coverage of Orion in Finance Magnates, FX News Group or FinanceFeeds, and no regulator action.

Mistakes to avoid at Orion Funded

  1. Scaling into a trade with four entries. Four or more open positions in the same asset can be treated as grid trading, which disqualifies the account.
  2. Touching a funded trade during news. On Standard, Select and Nova, even moving a stop within 2 minutes of a high-impact release is a violation.
  3. Measuring the daily limit from your starting balance. It resets at midnight UTC and uses the higher of yesterday's closing balance or equity, checked against live equity.
  4. Counting on the Zero fee coming back. The builder and the terms suggest it doesn't. Get it in writing if it matters.
  5. Holding Standard trades over a weekend without asking. The help center allows it; the terms don't.
  6. Missing the 30-day KYC window after passing. Have your ID and a recent proof of address ready before your final phase.

Before you buy: checklist

  • Choose between Standard (1:100) and Swing (1:30, wider limits) before paying; parameters are locked once bought.
  • Ask for a read-only demo login to check spreads on your pairs.
  • Confirm the currency and final price on the checkout page.
  • Check both restricted-country lists.
  • Plan around 8% max loss on Swing, not 10%.
  • Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our Orion Funded coupon page for how to apply it.

Our verdict

Orion Funded is a solid, fairly priced choice for forex and index traders who are happy with a two- or three-step evaluation. Static drawdown, no time limit, a 14-day reward cycle from day one, a fee refund on the fourth reward and a strong Trustpilot record add up to a good package, and Swing mode is the best value in the lineup.

The weak spots are Zero, which is costly and comes with a 3% buffer and a best-day rule, and documents that disagree on some important rules. Read the help center and the terms before you buy, and get written answers on anything they disagree about.
