Our verdict

“Fits traders who want very cheap small accounts and manual, rules-compliant trading. The Trustpilot guideline breach is a reason to check recent payout evidence yourself.”

Full Maven Trading review

17 min read · Updated Oct 28, 2026

Maven Trading is a Dubai-based forex and CFD prop firm that has been selling evaluations since 2022. You trade forex, metals, commodities, indices and a handful of crypto pairs on MT5 or Match-Trader, with leverage up to 1:75 on forex. The range is wide: one-, two- and three-step evaluations, a cheaper-to-pass "Omo" 2-step, Instant Funding with no evaluation, plus newer products like Buy Now Pay Later and prediction markets.

The prices are some of the lowest we track. A $2,000 3-step costs $13, a $5,000 1-step costs $19, and Maven refunds the fee after your third payout. The catches are in the details: the 1-step and Instant max loss trails your open equity, standard plans ban trading 2 minutes either side of major news, EAs are banned, and a $10,000 profit cap per 30 days applies across all your standard and Instant accounts combined. Maven's FAQ and its terms also disagree on what happens when you break some of these rules. This review lays it all out with dollar examples.

The short version

  • Best for: small-budget forex traders who trade by hand, want to try several evaluation styles cheaply, and like holding trades overnight and over weekends.
  • Not for: EA and bot users, scalpers who close most trades inside a minute, and traders who expect to make more than $10,000 a month.
  • Biggest strength: cost. Entry from $13, a fee refund after the third payout, and a $20 minimum withdrawal on standard plans.
  • Biggest risk: rule enforcement. A take-profit that fills inside a news window fails a standard challenge, and Trustpilot has hidden Maven's rating after removing fake reviews.
  • Our score: 4.3 out of 5. Excellent value and payout terms, losing points for the EA ban, news windows and some conflicting documents.

Who runs Maven Trading

Maven's terms and conditions (version 2026.2, effective 23 October 2026) name the operator as MAVEN EDU - FZCO, a UAE free zone company trading as Maven Trading, with trade licence 60823 issued by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. Its licensed address is DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai. The FAQ says Maven has operated since 2022.

The terms are governed by UAE law. Disputes go first to direct negotiation for 30 days, then mediation at the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, then arbitration under DIAC rules with an onshore Dubai seat. The terms say they don't represent a financial-services licence, which is normal for a simulated prop firm.

Every account is simulated. Your balance is a virtual figure used to measure performance; payouts are cash "rewards" Maven pays on eligible simulated profit. The data feed comes from Match-Prime. The rules live in the long Maven FAQ and the terms, which include product schedules. The terms say the accepted product schedule controls if the two conflict.

Programs and prices

Prices are the list prices shown on Maven's product pages, checked on 28 October 2026, before any coupon. Every plan pays an 80% split by default, or 90% if you buy the split add-on at checkout. Maven doesn't publish the add-on price on the pages we read. Except where noted, the fee comes back after your third payout.

Standard 1-Step

  • Make 8% with a 3% daily loss limit and a 5% trailing max loss.
  • No minimum trading days and no time limit.
  • The max loss trails your highest running equity, including open profit.
  • Funded: payouts every 10 business days, no consistency rule.
AccountPriceTargetDaily lossMax loss
$2,000$15$160$60$100
$5,000$19$400$150$250
$10,000$37$800$300$500
$20,000$68$1,600$600$1,000
$50,000$170$4,000$1,500$2,500
$100,000$380$8,000$3,000$5,000

Worked example, $20,000 1-Step. Your floor starts at $19,000, your day-one floor is $19,400 (3% below $20,000) and you pass at $21,600. Say a trade runs to $21,000 in open profit: the trailing floor moves to $19,950 ($21,000 minus 5%). If you then close at $20,400, you only have $450 of room left. Maven's trailing drawdown counts floating profit, so letting winners give back gains is expensive here.

Standard 2-Step

  • Phase 1: make 8%. Phase 2: make 5%.
  • 4% daily loss limit and an 8% static max loss.
  • At least 3 profitable days per phase, each worth 0.5% of the starting balance. Funded payouts need 3 new profitable days per cycle.
AccountPricePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily lossMax loss
$2,000$19$160$100$80$160
$5,000$22$400$250$200$400

$20,000$88$1,600$1,000$800$1,600
$50,000$220$4,000$2,500$2,000$4,000
$100,000$440$8,000$5,000$4,000$8,000

Worked example, $10,000 2-Step. Your floor is $9,200 for good, and you can lose $400 in a day. Reach $10,800 with at least 3 days of $50 or more profit to pass phase 1, then $10,500 with another 3 such days in phase 2. A $30 day doesn't count toward the 3.

Standard 3-Step

  • Make 3% in each of three phases.
  • 2% daily loss limit and a 3% static max loss.
  • No minimum trading days.
AccountPriceTarget per phaseDaily lossMax loss
$2,000$13$60$40$60
$5,000$17$150$100$150
$10,000$38$300$200$300
$20,000$76$600$400$600
$50,000$190$1,500$1,000$1,500
$100,000$299$3,000$2,000$3,000

Worked example, $100,000 3-Step. Your floor is $97,000 and you can lose $2,000 a day. You need to reach $103,000 in each of three phases without ever losing $3,000. The target equals the max loss, so every phase is a 1:1 bet on your edge, and the same 3% limit carries into the funded account.

Instant Funding

Instant skips the evaluation. You trade a funded account from day one and request payouts on demand.

  • 2% daily loss limit and a 3% trailing max loss, which follows running equity.
  • A 1% floating-loss limit: if your combined open losses exceed 1% of your balance at any moment, the account breaches.
  • A 20% consistency score: your best winning day can't be more than 20% of the profits from all your winning days in the cycle.
  • First payout needs at least 3% profit. No news restriction.
AccountPriceDaily lossMax lossMax floating lossMinimum profit to withdraw
$2,000$15$40$60$20$60
$5,000$19$100$150$50$150
$10,000$37$200$300$100$300
$20,000$68$400$600$200$600
$50,000$170$1,000$1,500$500$1,500
$100,000$380$2,000$3,000$1,000$3,000

Worked example, $50,000 Instant. Your floor starts at $48,500 and moves up with your equity. Your open trades can never be more than $500 underwater combined. To withdraw, you need $1,500 of profit with no winning day above 20% of the winning-day total, for example five days of $300. You'd keep $1,200 at 80%, or $1,350 with the 90% add-on.

Instant costs the same as the 1-Step at every size, which makes it unusually cheap for a no-evaluation account.

Omo 2-Step

Omo is the 2-step with extra conditions in exchange for news freedom in the evaluation.

  • Phase 1: make 6%. Phase 2: make 8%. Both within 180 days in total.
  • 4% daily loss limit and an 8% static max loss.
  • At least 4 profitable days of 0.5% per phase and per payout cycle.
  • M2 Account Saver: if your floating loss reaches 2% of your balance, all trades close. On a funded account, the first trigger cuts your split to 50% for good; a second trigger in the same phase or funded stage closes the account.
  • Funded: first payout capped at 6% of the starting balance, second at 8%, then no cap. Profit from any one news event is capped at 0.5% of the balance. Trades closed in under 150 seconds have their profit removed.
AccountPricePhase 1 targetPhase 2 targetDaily lossMax loss
$2,000$19$120$160$80$160
$5,000$32$300$400$200$400

$20,000$122$1,200$1,600$800$1,600
$50,000$238$3,000$4,000$2,000$4,000
$100,000$472$6,000$8,000$4,000$8,000

Worked example, $20,000 Omo. Your floor is $18,400 and your daily loss limit is $800. Reach $21,200 with 4 days of at least $100 to pass phase 1, then $21,600 in phase 2. All along, if your open trades are down $400 at once, the Account Saver closes everything. Once funded, your first payout is capped at $1,200 of profit and your second at $1,600.

Omo is the most expensive Maven plan at every size from $5,000 up, and it carries the most rules.

Other Maven products

Maven also sells Buy Now Pay Later ($5 to start, a 4% target and a 10% static max loss, with the rest of the fee due within 14 days of passing), Instant Mini (a 24-hour funded account with a 70% split and one payout) and Prediction Markets challenges with a 9% target and a 70% split. These aren't in our comparison data, so we haven't covered them in depth.

Which Maven plan should you pick?

Pick the Standard 2-Step if you want the most forgiving limits. An 8% static floor and a 4% daily limit give real room, and 3 profitable days per phase is easy to meet if you're consistent.

Pick the Standard 1-Step if you want speed and can manage a trailing limit. There's no minimum day count, so a good week can pass you, but the floor follows open equity.

Pick the 3-Step only if you're a tight, high-win-rate trader. The 3% static limit is small, and it stays at 3% once you're funded.

Pick Instant if you trade small and steady. The 1% floating-loss rule and 20% consistency score are strict, but there's no news restriction and payouts are on demand.

Skip Omo unless you specifically need news freedom during the evaluation. It costs more and adds the Account Saver, a 180-day deadline, payout caps and a 150-second rule.

On cost per $1,000 of funding, the cheapest option is the $100,000 3-Step at $299, about $2.99 per $1K. For value with room to trade, we'd pick the $10,000 Standard 2-Step at $44: $800 of fixed drawdown, $400 of daily room, and the fee comes back after your third payout.

Trading rules in practice

Drawdown and the daily reset

The daily loss limit resets at 00:00 UTC, which is 8pm in New York during US daylight saving time and 7pm in winter. It's equity-based: Maven takes the higher of your balance or equity at midnight UTC and sets the day's floor below that. Carry $300 of open profit into midnight on a $10,000 2-Step and your daily floor for the day becomes $9,888 rather than $9,600.

On the 2-Step, 3-Step and Omo the max loss is static. On the 1-Step and Instant it trails your highest running equity and, per the terms, never comes back down. Payouts don't reset the highest equity on trailing products.

Leverage and fees

MarketLeverage
Forex1:75
Commodities and precious metals1:20 (gold 1:100 on Omo only)
Indices1:20
Digital ETFs1:2

Commission is $4 per lot round trip on standard instruments and $6 on precious metals and energy. Every account is swap-free. Trade 2 lots of EUR/USD in and out five times in a day and you pay 10 × $4 = $40, 10% of the $400 daily limit on a $10,000 2-Step. Gold at the same size costs $60.

News

News trading rules depend on the plan:

PlanEvaluationFunded
Standard 1-, 2- and 3-StepNo opening or closing from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a red-folder release; a breach fails the challengeSame window
Omo 2-StepNo restrictionProfit per news event capped at 0.5% of balance
InstantNo evaluationNo restriction

The window covers take-profits, stop-losses, pending orders and the automatic close when you hit your target. Maven maps which instruments each release affects: CPI, FOMC and non-farm payrolls hit everything, while, say, GBP data affects GBP pairs only.

Weekends, overnight and VPNs

You can hold overnight and over weekends on every plan, and gold trades 24/7. VPNs are allowed, but your IP address should stay in the same region; a big change can trigger a request for proof such as travel documents or live location checks.

EAs, copy trading and hedging

  • EAs, bots and scripts are banned on every account. All trades must be placed by hand.
  • Copy trading is allowed only when you manually copy your own trades between your own accounts. Copying someone else can breach both accounts.
  • Hedging across accounts or firms is banned, as is "exclusive hedging" (an account built only from hedges).
  • All-in trading is banned: a trade with no stop loss, or a stop that risks more than your daily or max loss.
  • Grid and gap trading, tick scalping, HFT and arbitrage are prohibited.

Holding time and scalping

At least 50% of your trades must be held 60 seconds or longer on every account. On Omo funded accounts, profit from any trade closed inside 150 seconds is also removed. The terms also let Maven apply a 1% risk rule to any account at its discretion.

Consistency and activity

There's no consistency rule on the Standard plans or Omo. Instant uses the 20% score above. Every account needs at least one trade every 30 days to stay active, and Omo evaluations have the 180-day limit. You can merge funded accounts from the same plan up to $200,000.

How payouts work

PlanFirst payoutAfter thatMinimum
Standard 1-, 2- and 3-Step10 business days after your first funded tradeEvery 10 business days (2-Step needs 3 new profitable days)$20 of profit
Omo 2-Step10 business daysEvery 10 business days, with 4 new profitable days$20 of profit
InstantOn demandOn demand3% profit and 20% consistency

The split is 80%, or 90% with the add-on. Each new 10-business-day cycle starts with your first trade after the previous payout. Payouts go by USDT on BSC, USDC on Ethereum or Rise; direct bank transfer is offered only in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. On-demand doesn't mean instant: Maven reviews each request before paying.

Fee refund. Maven refunds your purchase fee, including any add-ons, after your third paid reward from that account, as a separate payment. That makes it one of the few firms where a refundable fee applies to instant accounts too. Instant Mini is excluded.

The $10,000 cap. On Standard, BNPL and Instant accounts, the terms allow at most $10,000 of profit generated in any rolling 30 days to be withdrawn, before the split, combined across all your accounts. Omo has its own caps instead.

What each Maven document says:

TopicFAQTerms (version 2026.2)
News breach on a Standard funded accountProfit from the window is excludedThe account is terminated
$10,000 cap$10,000 before the split across two payouts or per rolling 30 days$10,000 of profit generated per rolling 30 days, combined across all accounts; anything above is permanently ineligible
1% risk ruleInstant and Instant Mini onlyMaven may apply it to any account at its discretion
RefundsFee refunded after the third rewardFees are otherwise not refundable once the service has started

The terms say they control if there's a conflict, so plan on the terms' stricter version: no trades near news on funded Standard accounts, and no more than $10,000 of profit in any 30 days across all your accounts.

Identity checks. Standard and Omo accounts need KYC through Veriff before you get the funded account; Maven says the trade review takes 1 to 3 business days and KYC typically 1. Instant and BNPL accounts do KYC at the first payout request. Cards must be in your own name.

Scaling. Maven doesn't publish a scaling plan. Growth comes from buying larger accounts or merging same-plan funded accounts up to $200,000.

Who can sign up

Maven's footer lists 25 restricted countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Iran, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Saint Lucia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Venezuela and Yemen.

The US isn't on that list, but when we loaded the product pages they showed a "not available in your region" notice for our location while still listing prices. Check availability at checkout before you plan around a specific product. Purchase methods vary by country and can include cards, PayPal, crypto, bank transfer and mobile money.

Reputation

Maven's Trustpilot page doesn't currently show a TrustScore. When we checked on 28 October 2026, it carried a warning that the rating is unavailable because of a breach of Trustpilot's guidelines, and a note that Trustpilot had removed a number of fake reviews. The page lists 5,215 reviews, 420 of them from the last 12 months, with 81% five-star and 9% one-star. It doesn't show a claimed-profile badge or a reply rate, and Maven's own profile text points readers to Feefo as its official review platform. See the Trustpilot page.

The positive reviews describe first payouts arriving quickly and easy-to-follow rules. The one-star reviews we read, from September and October 2026, mostly involve disputed rule breaches (news windows, drawdown limits), slow or unhelpful support, KYC rejections, payout denials and IP or location flags, with a couple about spreads and execution. One reviewer says a Discord support contact asked for an extra $100 "verification fee" before delivering account details. Maven's published fees include nothing like that, so never pay anything outside the official checkout. Only 1 of the 20 one-star reviews on the page we viewed had a reply from Maven.

Our search of Finance Magnates, FX News Group and FinanceFeeds turned up product announcements about Maven but no regulator actions. On its homepage, Maven says it has more than 50,000 funded traders.

Mistakes to avoid at Maven Trading

  1. Leaving a take-profit near a red-folder release on a Standard plan. If it fills inside the 2-minute window, the challenge fails, and the terms say a funded account is terminated.
  2. Letting open profit evaporate on the 1-Step or Instant. The floor follows your equity peak, even if you never closed the trade.
  3. Stacking trades on Instant. Three trades each down 0.4% add up to a 1.2% floating loss, which breaches the 1% rule.
  4. Triggering the Omo Account Saver once you're funded. One 2% floating loss and your split drops to 50% for the life of the account.
  5. Closing most trades inside a minute. At least half must last 60 seconds, and on Omo funded accounts anything under 150 seconds loses its profit.
  6. Forgetting the 90% add-on at checkout. It can't be added later, and the account stays at 80%.

Before you buy: checklist

  • Check that your country isn't restricted and that the product is available to you at checkout.
  • Decide on MT5 or Match-Trader; you can only switch before you start trading.
  • Pick static (2-Step, 3-Step, Omo) or trailing (1-Step, Instant) drawdown to suit how you manage winners.
  • Turn off any EA, script or trade copier.
  • Put the ForexFactory red-folder calendar next to your charts if you buy a Standard plan.
  • Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our Maven Trading coupon page for how to apply it.

Our verdict

Maven is one of the cheapest and most flexible ways into a forex prop account. Low prices, a refund after the third payout, a $20 minimum withdrawal and on-demand Instant payouts make it easy to test yourself without risking much.

The price of that flexibility is a long rulebook. News windows, the 60-second holding rule, trailing equity on the 1-Step and the $10,000 monthly cap all need planning, and Maven's FAQ is softer than its terms in places. Read the terms' product schedule for your plan, trade by hand with a stop on every position, and treat the stricter wording as the rule.
