FundingRock is a Cyprus-based forex prop firm with four ways in: an Instant account, a 1-Step and a 2-Step challenge, and a Pay After You Pass challenge that costs $5 to start. You trade forex, metals, indices, energy and crypto CFDs on TradeLocker or cTrader. Prices are low: the $100,000 2-Step costs $350, which works out to $3.50 per $1,000 of funding.
The catch sits on the funded "Prime" account. Every plan has a consistency rule there, as tight as 15% on Instant and Pay After You Pass, so no single day can be more than 15% of your profit before you can withdraw. You also can't hold anything over the weekend without paying for an add-on, and FundingRock's own documents disagree on whether news trading is allowed. This review goes through each plan with dollar examples.
The short version
- Best for: forex traders who spread profit evenly over many days, close out before the weekend, and want a cheap or pay-later route in.
- Not for: traders who make their month on one or two big days, swing traders who hold over weekends, and anyone who copies trades between accounts.
- Biggest strength: price. A $100,000 2-Step costs $350 with a static drawdown, and Pay After You Pass lets you try for $5.
- Biggest risk: the consistency rule on Prime accounts. At 15%, a $300 best day means you need $2,000 of total profit before you can request a reward.
- Our score: 4.0 out of 5. Strong on value and payout speed, held back by a short public track record and rules that limit holding times and big days.
Who runs FundingRock
FundingRock is a brand of Mindwave Training Limited, a company registered in Cyprus (registration number HE 471803) with its office at Ayias Elenis 36 in Nicosia. The general terms, last updated in June 2026, are governed by Cypriot law, and disputes go to the courts of Cyprus. The terms also say your consumer rights in your own country aren't limited. The firm's CEO is Meir Hefetz, according to Finance Magnates and the reward certificates on FundingRock's site. FundingRock doesn't publish a founding year.
All trading happens in a simulated environment using price feeds from third-party liquidity providers. FundingRock calls the funded stage a "Prime Account" and the payouts "Rewards". Before trading a Prime Account you complete KYC and sign a Trader Agreement.
You trade on TradeLocker or cTrader. Finance Magnates reported on 9 April 2026 that FundingRock had signed a technology agreement with Spotware to run its challenges on cTrader. The rules live in the help center, which has a guide for each program, and in the general terms.
Programs and prices
Prices below are list prices in USD from each plan page's size selector, checked on 28 October 2026, before any code. FundingRock's homepage was running a 30% off sale when we checked, and shows these as the struck-through prices. The fee may also be adjusted for the platform you choose, which shows at checkout.
Instant
- No evaluation and no profit target. You get a Prime account straight away.
- 4% daily loss and 8% maximum loss that trails your highest closed balance.
- 15% consistency rule before each reward (20% with an add-on).
- Split 80%, or 95% with an add-on. Rewards on request, minimum $100.
- Leverage up to 1:30 on forex.
- News trading allowed. Weekend holding only with an add-on.
| Account | Price | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $70 | $200 | $400 |
| $10,000 | $120 | $400 | $800 |
| $25,000 | $200 | $1,000 | $2,000 |
| $50,000 | $350 | $2,000 | $4,000 |
| $100,000 | $600 | $4,000 | $8,000 |
| $200,000 | $1,100 | $8,000 | $16,000 |
The Instant page sells a $200,000 size, but the Instant guide in the help center only lists sizes up to $100,000. On the $25,000 size, the page lists the add-ons at $50 for a 95% split, $30 for weekend holding and $40 for the 20% consistency limit.
Worked example, $25,000 Instant. Your floor starts at $23,000 and rises with every new closed-balance high until it reaches $25,000, where it stops. Each day you can lose $1,000 from the higher of your balance or equity at 21:00 UTC. Say you're up $2,000 after two weeks and your best day was $500. That's 25% of the total, so you'd need to keep trading until total profit is at least about $3,334 before requesting a reward.
1-Step
- Make 10% in one phase. No minimum days, no time limit.
- 3% daily loss and 6% maximum loss that trails your highest closed balance.
- Prime account: same limits, plus a 30% consistency rule before each reward.
- First reward 14 days after your first Prime trade (5 days with an add-on), then every 14 days. Minimum $100.
- Split 80%, or 95% with an add-on. Leverage up to 1:30 on forex.
- News: no trading 2 minutes either side of high-impact events. Weekend holding only with an add-on.
| Account | Price | Target | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $50 | $500 | $150 | $300 |
| $10,000 | $80 | $1,000 | $300 | $600 |
| $25,000 | $155 | $2,500 | $750 | $1,500 |
| $50,000 | $270 | $5,000 | $1,500 | $3,000 |
| $100,000 | $450 | $10,000 | $3,000 | $6,000 |
An add-on lowers the target to 8%.
Worked example, $50,000 1-Step. You start with a floor of $47,000. Close a trade that takes your balance to $51,000 and the floor moves to $48,000. Once your balance reaches $53,000, the floor locks at $50,000 for good. You can lose $1,500 a day and you pass at $55,000. The ratio is tough: $5,000 to make with $3,000 of room, and the room shrinks as you make money until the lock kicks in.
2-Step
- Phase 1: make 6%. Phase 2: make 6%. No minimum days, no time limit.
- 3% daily loss and 6% static maximum loss in both phases and on the Prime account.
- Prime account: 30% consistency rule, first reward after 14 days, then every 14 days.
- Split 80%, or 95% with an add-on. Leverage up to 1:100 on forex.
| Account | Price | Phase 1 target | Phase 2 target | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $40 | $300 | $300 | $150 | $300 |
| $10,000 | $60 | $600 | $600 | $300 | $600 |
| $25,000 | $120 | $1,500 | $1,500 | $750 | $1,500 |
| $50,000 | $210 | $3,000 | $3,000 | $1,500 | $3,000 |
| $100,000 | $350 | $6,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | $6,000 |
Worked example, $100,000 2-Step. The floor is $94,000 and never moves. You can lose $3,000 a day. Phase 1 ends at $106,000, and phase 2 needs another $6,000. On the Prime account, if you've made $5,000 in a cycle, no single day can be more than $1,500 of it.
Pay After You Pass
- Pay $5 to start. Pay the activation fee only after you pass.
- Make 3%. No daily loss limit during the evaluation, and an 8% trailing maximum loss.
- Prime account: 4% daily loss, 8% trailing maximum loss, 15% consistency rule, rewards on request, minimum $100.
- Split 80%, or 95% with an add-on. Leverage up to 1:30 on forex. News trading allowed.
| Account | Upfront | Activation fee | Total if you pass | Target | Max loss | Prime daily loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | $5 | $100 | $105 | $300 | $800 | $400 |
| $25,000 | $5 | $180 | $185 | $750 | $2,000 | $1,000 |
| $50,000 | $5 | $300 | $305 | $1,500 | $4,000 | $2,000 |
| $100,000 | $5 | $500 | $505 | $3,000 | $8,000 | $4,000 |
| $200,000 | $5 | $999 | $1,004 | $6,000 | $16,000 | $8,000 |
The help center says there's no deadline to pay the activation fee after passing. Any add-ons you picked are paid along with it.
Worked example, $50,000 Pay After You Pass. You pay $5 and need $51,500. With no daily limit, only the trailing 8% floor ($46,000 to start) can end the evaluation. Pass, pay $300, and your Prime account starts with a $2,000 daily limit and the 15% consistency rule.
Which FundingRock plan should you pick?
The 2-Step is the best value. It's the cheapest per dollar of funding at $3.50 per $1K on the $100,000 size, it's the only plan with a static drawdown, and it has the highest leverage. The 6% targets are modest. The trade-offs are the 30% consistency rule on Prime and a 14-day wait for the first reward.
The 1-Step gets you funded in one phase, but a 10% target against a 6% trailing loss is a hard ratio. It suits traders who already pass one-step challenges comfortably.
Pay After You Pass is the cheapest way to find out if you can pass, and a 3% target with no daily limit is easy on paper. The real test comes on the Prime account, with its 15% consistency rule. All in, a $100,000 account costs $505.
Instant is good value as instant accounts go ($600 for $100,000) and pays on request. But the 15% consistency rule means you need many evenly sized winning days before any reward, which slows payouts more than the "instant" label suggests.
Trading rules in practice
Daily loss and the reset
The daily loss amount is a fixed percentage of your starting balance, so it doesn't grow with the account. At 21:00 UTC each day, FundingRock takes the higher of your balance or equity and subtracts that amount to set the day's floor. Example from the help center: on a $50,000 account with a $1,500 daily amount and equity of $50,300 at 21:00 UTC, the floor for the next day is $48,800. Because equity counts, open profit at the reset raises your floor.
Trailing loss and the Reward Lock
On Instant, 1-Step and Pay After You Pass, the maximum loss trails your highest closed balance. Open profit doesn't move it. It never moves down and stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance.
The Reward Lock is the part to plan for. On those three plans, your floor locks permanently at the starting balance as soon as you submit your first reward request, even if it hasn't trailed that far yet. On a $25,000 Instant account at $26,000, the trailing floor is $24,000. Request $600 and the floor jumps to $25,000 while your balance drops to $25,400, leaving you $400 of room. FundingRock's own advice is to leave a buffer. The 2-Step's static loss isn't affected.
Consistency
| Plan | Evaluation | Prime account |
|---|---|---|
| Instant | No evaluation | 15% (20% with add-on) |
| Pay After You Pass | None | 15% |
| 1-Step | None | 30% |
| 2-Step | None | 30% |
Breaking the consistency rule doesn't end the account. It just blocks reward requests until your other days catch up. The help center's example: with $2,000 of profit under a 15% rule, no day can be more than $300.
Leverage and fees
| Market | Instant, 1-Step, Pay After You Pass | 2-Step |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | 1:30 | 1:100 |
| Metals | 1:8 | 1:15 |
| Indices | 1:6 | 1:10 |
| Energy | 1:3 | 1:5 |
| Crypto | 1:1 | 1:2 |
FundingRock doesn't publish commission rates in its help center, so we can't give a round-trip cost. Its fees article says there are no hidden charges at checkout, and crypto rewards may carry network fees. There's no fixed maximum lot size beyond what leverage allows.
News trading
This is where FundingRock's documents disagree most:
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| General terms (sections 10.1 and 13.12) | No trading 2 minutes before or after high-impact events, for all clients |
| 1-Step and 2-Step guides, and FAQs on both plan pages | Restricted: no opening, closing or changing trades 2 minutes either side |
| 2-Step plan page rules table | News trading: "Yes" |
| Instant and Pay After You Pass guides | Allowed |
Positions opened before the window can stay open through the news. To be safe on any plan, don't open, close or modify a trade within 2 minutes of a high-impact release, since the terms cover every client.
Weekends and overnight
Overnight holding is fine on every plan. Weekend holding is a breach unless you bought the Weekend Holding add-on. Without it, close everything before the weekly market close: 21:00 UTC for most of the year, and 22:00 UTC while US clocks are on standard time. The same applies before market holidays.
EAs, copy trading and hedging
You can use EAs you built yourself or have full source code for. Commercial EAs used by many traders, EAs without source code, high-frequency bots and mass-order bots aren't allowed. Copy trading is banned, including copying between your own FundingRock accounts, along with signal sharing. Opposite positions across accounts and arbitrage are banned, while managing your own positions within one account is allowed. FundingRock also treats trades under 2 minutes as a guideline: an occasional one is fine, a pattern gets reviewed.
Inactivity and limits
An account with no trade for 30 days is closed and can't be reopened. You can hold up to $200,000 of Prime allocation per program type.
How payouts work
| Instant | Pay After You Pass | 1-Step | 2-Step | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First reward | On request | On request | 14 days after first Prime trade (5 with add-on) | 14 days after first Prime trade (5 with add-on) |
| Then | On request | On request | Every 14 days | Every 14 days |
| Consistency | 15% | 15% | 30% | 30% |
| Minimum | $100 | $100 | $100 | $100 |
The split is 80% on every plan, or 95% with the Higher Reward Share add-on, which must be chosen at checkout. Rewards are paid through Riseworks or crypto; US traders can only receive BTC or ETH by crypto. The help center says requests are processed within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, and longer if a compliance review is needed. The homepage advertises a 6-hour average.
Fee refund. There's no refund for passing. You can get your fee back if you ask within 14 days of purchase and haven't placed a trade. Crypto purchases under $10 can't be refunded, so a $5 Pay After You Pass fee paid in crypto is final.
Identity checks. KYC, with a government photo ID and a selfie check, is required before any Prime account is issued, including on Instant. It's done once per profile. FundingRock's Risk Team can also review a Prime account and invite you to an interview about your strategy; outcomes range from no action to termination and lost rewards.
Resets. Prime accounts on Instant and Pay After You Pass can be reset from the dashboard for 15% off the base price. Evaluations can't be reset.
Scaling. A Prime account that's been active for more than 6 months, made at least 10% and broken no rules gets a 50% increase on its original size. A $100,000 account becomes $150,000. You can repeat this up to $1,000,000 in combined allocation.
Who can sign up
You must be 18 or older. FundingRock doesn't serve Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Cuba, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of the Congo, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Vanuatu, Venezuela or Yemen.
US traders aren't on the blocked list. The help center notes that platform choice and some crypto instruments may be limited in the US, and US crypto rewards are BTC or ETH only. You can pay by card, crypto, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Reputation
On Trustpilot, FundingRock scores 3.7 out of 5 from 225 reviews, 198 of them in the last 12 months, checked on 28 October 2026. The split is 61% five-star, 10% four-star, 2% three-star, 3% two-star and 24% one-star. FundingRock claimed its profile in May 2025, pays for a Trustpilot subscription, invites customers to review, and had replied to 80% of negative reviews, typically within a week. See the Trustpilot page.
Positive reviews mostly mention the easy mobile platform, quick checkout and helpful support, though many are short and some come from traders who haven't taken a payout yet. Negative reviews focus on the 15% consistency rule, rules that reviewers say weren't clear before they passed, confusion over Pay After You Pass activation fees (including on accounts given free with an Instant purchase), risk interviews that ended in denied rewards, and wide crypto spreads.
We found no regulator action or complaint coverage in Finance Magnates, FX News Group or FinanceFeeds; the coverage we found was about the cTrader deal. FundingRock's homepage claims $6.3 million or more in approved rewards and 42,000 traders, and posts reward certificates. Those are the firm's own figures.

- Nordic Funder: worth a look if you want DXtrade or Match-Trader.
Mistakes to avoid at FundingRock
- Holding over the weekend without the add-on. A trade left open past Friday's close breaches the account.
- Withdrawing everything at the first chance. The Reward Lock moves your floor to the starting balance, so a big first request can leave almost no room.
- Having one great day. Under a 15% rule, a $600 day needs $4,000 of total profit before you can request a reward.
- Trading the news on the challenges. On the 1-Step and 2-Step, opening or closing within 2 minutes of a high-impact release breaks the rules, whatever the plan page table says.
- Copying trades between your own accounts. FundingRock bans it outright, unlike many firms.
- Forgetting the 21:00 UTC reset uses equity. An open profit at the reset raises the next day's floor.
Before you buy: checklist
- Decide if you can live with the consistency rule on your plan (15% or 30%).
- Pick the weekend add-on at checkout if you ever hold past Friday; it can't be added later.
- Note the 21:00 UTC daily reset in your local time.
- Plan your first reward request with the Reward Lock in mind.
- Complete KYC as soon as you pass.
- Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our FundingRock coupon page for how to apply it.
Our verdict
FundingRock is one of the cheaper ways into a funded account. The 2-Step at $3.50 per $1K with a static 6% drawdown and 1:100 forex leverage is strong value, and the Pay After You Pass plan lets you test yourself for $5.
The price is a set of rules aimed at steady day traders: consistency limits on every Prime account, no weekend holding without paying, a ban on copy trading, and conflicting news-trading guidance. The firm is also young, with only 225 Trustpilot reviews. If your profits come in small, even steps and you close out on Fridays, it's worth a look.

FundingRock FAQ
Is FundingRock legit?+
FundingRock doesn't publish a founding year. Its rules, prices and payout terms are published on its own website, which we checked on Oct 28, 2026. On Trustpilot it scores 3.7 from 225 reviews (checked Oct 28, 2026). We found no reported payout denials in the last 12 months in regulator notices, news or the firm's own announcements. Things to watch: Terms give the firm discretion over moving to the reward phase and over forfeiting profits. No one can guarantee future payouts, so start with a smaller account and read the full terms before you buy.
How much does a FundingRock challenge cost?+
Plans start at $40 for a $5K account (2-Step). The largest account, $200K, costs $1,100. Use code SCOUT at checkout.

What leverage does FundingRock offer?+
Up to 1:100 on forex in the 2-Step and 1:30 on the other plans. Metals, indices, energy and crypto are lower.
Does FundingRock allow news trading?+
On Instant and Pay After You Pass, yes. The 1-Step and 2-Step restrict trading 2 minutes before and after high-impact news, and the general terms apply that window to everyone.
Can I hold trades over the weekend?+
Only with the Weekend Holding add-on. Without it, holding a position over the weekend is a breach.
Does FundingRock have a consistency rule?+
Yes, on every Prime account: 15% on Instant and Pay After You Pass, 30% on the 1-Step and 2-Step. Evaluations have none.
Can I use EAs or copy trading at FundingRock?+
