What we like
- Rules, restricted practices and the withdrawal process are documented in a public help center
- No minimum trading days and no time limit on any challenge
- Two payouts per 30 days on the same challenge, requested through a self-set profit-sharing day
- Entry fee on the 2-Step Challenge is refunded with the third payout
Watch out for
- Bots, EAs, scripts, hedging and copy trading are banned, and positions must close within 5 to 10 days depending on the asset
- A 50% to 70% payout penalty applies if a risk review finds 'restricted trading practices' such as large margin concentration
- Withdrawals are USDT only (TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20) with a $1 to $5 fee, and need KYC once profits reach $10,000
Flags we checked
- Public user guide covers every rule and payout step
- Company and governing law named in the terms (Tronovix LTD, Ras Al Khaimah)
- Payouts can be reduced after a discretionary risk review (50% to 70% penalty tables)

BitFunded is a crypto prop firm that sells cheap evaluations on its own trading platform. You trade more than 100 crypto pairs plus a couple of dozen traditional markets like gold, silver and Tesla, with leverage capped at 1:5. Pass, and you keep 80% of what you make on a simulated funded account (60% on the Instant plan).
The headline numbers are attractive. A $5,000 two-step challenge costs $79, nothing has a time limit, and there are no minimum trading days. The fine print is where you need to slow down. BitFunded has strict rules on how long you can hold a trade, how much margin you can use at once and how many positions you can open, and its own documents disagree with each other on payout timing and refunds. This review goes through all of it, with dollar examples, so you know exactly what you're buying.
The short version
- Best for: crypto traders who scalp or day trade with sensible size, and who want a cheap way in without a deadline hanging over them.
- Not for: swing traders who hold for weeks, anyone who runs bots, and traders who like to load up most of their margin on one idea.
- Biggest strength: low entry prices, no time limits and a fully static drawdown on every plan.
- Biggest risk: the payout review. Break one of the "restricted practices" and BitFunded can cut your withdrawable profit by 50% or more.
- Our score: 3.8 out of 5. It does well on price and track record for a young firm, and loses points on rule flexibility.
Who runs BitFunded
BitFunded has been selling challenges since 2023. Its terms of use name the operator as Tronovix LTD, a limited liability company in the United Arab Emirates. The terms are governed by the laws of Ras Al Khaimah, and any dispute goes to negotiation first, then mediation and arbitration at the RAK Arbitration Centre. The terms don't give a registration number or a street address, which is common in this industry but still worth knowing.
Everything happens on BitFunded's own platform, available on the web and as an app for iPhone and Android. Prices come from live market data supplied by partner exchanges, but your account is simulated. That's normal for retail prop firms: your payouts are real money paid by the firm, not profits from trades placed on an exchange.
BitFunded keeps its full rulebook in a public user guide hosted on GitBook. That's a point in its favour, because you can read every rule before paying. The FAQ says the user guide wins if the two ever disagree, which matters later in this review.
Programs and prices
BitFunded sells four account types. Prices below are list prices from the pricing tabs on BitFunded's website, checked on 27 October 2026, before any coupon.
2-Step Challenge
The two-step is the classic route and the only plan where BitFunded refunds the entry fee.
- Phase 1: make 8% without losing more than 5% in a day or 10% in total.
- Phase 2: make 5% while the total loss limit tightens to 8%.
- Funded: no target, 5% daily limit, 8% total limit, 80% profit split.
- No time limit and no minimum trading days in either phase.
| Account | Price | Phase 1 target | Phase 2 target | Max loss (funded) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $79 | $400 | $250 | $400 |
| $10,000 | $99 | $800 | $500 | $800 |
| $15,000 | $149 | $1,200 | $750 | $1,200 |
| $25,000 | $249 | $2,000 | $1,250 | $2,000 |
| $50,000 | $399 | $4,000 | $2,500 | $4,000 |
| $100,000 | $799 | $8,000 | $5,000 | $8,000 |
The user guide also lists a $150,000 two-step at $1,099. It didn't appear on the website's pricing tab when we checked, so confirm it's on sale before you plan around it.
Worked example, $50,000 two-step. In phase 1 your account can never go below $45,000 (10% under the start), and on any one day you can't lose more than $2,500. Hit $54,000 and you move on. In phase 2 the floor rises to $46,000 and the target is $52,500. The floor never moves after that, no matter how much profit you make, because BitFunded uses static drawdown.
1-Step Challenge
One phase, a bigger target and tighter limits.
- Make 10% without losing 4% in a day or 6% in total.
- Funded stage keeps the same 4% and 6% limits, with an 80% split.
- No time limit, no minimum days. The entry fee is not refunded.
| Account | Price | Target | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $99 | $500 | $200 | $300 |
| $10,000 | $149 | $1,000 | $400 | $600 |
| $15,000 | $199 | $1,500 | $600 | $900 |
| $25,000 | $299 | $2,500 | $1,000 | $1,500 |
| $50,000 | $499 | $5,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 |
| $100,000 | $999 | $10,000 | $4,000 | $6,000 |
| $150,000 | $1,399 | $15,000 | $6,000 | $9,000 |
Worked example, $10,000 one-step. Your floor is $9,400 for the life of the account. You can lose up to $400 on a given day. To pass you need the balance at $11,000. The ratio matters here: you're aiming for $1,000 with only $600 of total room, so one bad week can end the attempt. Traders who pass this kind of plan usually risk well under 1% per trade.
1-Step Express
Express is the cheapest way in, and the strictest.
- Make 9% without losing 3% in a day or 3% in total.
- Funded stage keeps the 3% and 3% limits, with an 80% split.
- Entry fee not refunded.
| Account | Price (website) | Price (user guide) |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $39 | $39 |
| $10,000 | $49 | $49 |
| $15,000 | $74 | $74 |
| $25,000 | $124 | $124 |
| $50,000 | $249 | $199 |
| $100,000 | $499 | $399 |
| $150,000 | $649 | $549 |
The two price lists don't match for the three biggest sizes. Your checkout price is the one that counts, so check it before paying.
What 3% really means. On a $25,000 Express account, your daily and total limits are both $750. The daily and total limits are the same number, so a single bad day can end the account. You also need $2,250 profit to pass, three times your total room. Express suits traders with a very tight, proven stop discipline. It's a poor fit for anyone still finding their feet.
Instant Funding
Instant skips the evaluation. You start on a funded account straight away.
- No profit target.
- 3% daily loss limit and 6% total loss limit, per BitFunded's user guide.
- 60% profit split, one payout per month, and from the second payout onward you need to have made at least 5% profit.
- A consistency rule applies only here: no single pair may make up 60% or more of your net profit in a payout period. Breaking it costs 50% of your withdrawable profit.
| Account | Price (website) | Price (user guide) |
|---|---|---|
| $2,500 | $129 | $149 |
| $5,000 | $249 | $299 |
| $10,000 | $449 | not listed |
A note on the daily limit: some of BitFunded's pages show 4% for Instant, while the user guide's rule table says 3%. The FAQ says the user guide takes priority, so plan for 3%.
Instant is expensive for the funding you get. A $10,000 Instant account costs $449, more than four times the $99 two-step at the same size. You're paying for the right to skip the test, and you also accept a lower split.
Which BitFunded plan should you pick?
For most traders the 2-Step is the sensible choice. It has the most room (10% then 8% total loss), the most relaxed daily limit (5%), and it's the only plan that returns your fee. The trade-off is time: you have two targets to hit before you can withdraw anything.
Pick the 1-Step if you're confident and want to reach a payout faster. The 6% total limit against a 10% target is demanding, so it rewards traders with a high win rate or good reward-to-risk.
Treat Express as a cheap lottery ticket only if your strategy genuinely loses small and wins big. The 3% total loss leaves almost no margin for slippage on volatile coins.
Instant makes sense for experienced traders who know they can hold a steady 5% a month and want to skip evaluation stress. For everyone else, the 60% split and monthly payouts make it the weakest value.
Measured by cost per $1,000 of funding, the cheapest option is the $150,000 Express at about $4.33 per $1K. The best value with real room to trade is the $100,000 two-step at $7.99 per $1K, and that fee comes back with your third payout.
Trading rules in practice
Drawdown and the daily reset
Every BitFunded plan uses static drawdown. Your total loss limit is set once, from the starting balance, and never trails your profits. That's the friendliest kind of drawdown to plan around.
The daily loss limit resets at 00:00 UTC+8, which is 4pm GMT, or noon in New York while US daylight saving time is on (11am in winter). If you trade the US session, your "day" at BitFunded ends partway through it. Losses before and after that time count against different days.
Leverage and fees
Leverage runs from 1x to 5x on every plan. That's low compared with crypto exchanges, but normal for crypto prop firms, and it stops you from blowing through a daily limit on a single wick.
BitFunded charges a trading fee of 0.04% to open and 0.04% to close, based on position size. A $50,000 position (the most a $10,000 account can open at 5x) costs $20 to open and $20 to close, so $40 for the round trip. That's 0.4% of a $10,000 account in fees alone. Active scalpers should factor this in, because fees count against your daily limit like any other loss.
How long you can hold a trade
This is the rule that catches swing traders. BitFunded sets a maximum holding time by asset type:
- 10 days for major coins: BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, TRX, HYPE, ZEC, DOGE and ADA
- 7 days for other crypto pairs
- 5 days for traditional markets such as gold, silver and Tesla
Weekend and overnight holding are allowed within those windows, so you can carry a trade over a Saturday. You can't run a three-week position.
Position limits and the "all in" rule
You can have at most 5 positions open at the same time. Your combined exposure has to stay below 65% of margin on the two-step and one-step plans, and below 55% on Instant.
Going over that triggers BitFunded's "excessive risk concentration" rule at payout time. The penalties scale with how much margin you used:
| Margin used on one idea | Penalty on 2-Step and 1-Step | Penalty on Instant |
|---|---|---|
| 55% to 64% | none | 50% |
| 65% to 74% | 50% | 55% |
| 75% to 89% | 60% | 60% |
| 90% to 95% | 65% | 65% |
| 96% to 100% | 70% | 70% |
The penalty comes off your withdrawable profit, not your account. Make $2,000 on a funded account while using 80% of your margin on one trade, and a 60% penalty could leave you $640 instead of $1,600. Keep each trade well inside the limit and this never comes up.
Minimum activity
Before a payout, each stage needs at least 2 closed trades (3 on Instant), and each trade has to stay open for at least 10 minutes. That blocks one-tick scalps from counting, so very fast scalpers need to adjust.
What's not allowed
- Hedging, meaning opposite positions on the same asset across accounts, or coordinated trading between accounts.
- Exploiting price feed or execution errors.
- Bots and expert advisors, and copy trading. Trading has to be manual.
- Account sharing, multiple identities, or shared devices or wallets.
If BitFunded's risk team finds any of these during a payout review, the standard penalty is 50% of the withdrawable profit from your 80% share. Repeated breaches can lead to restrictions or removal from the program.
News trading isn't mentioned in the rules we read, so there's no stated news window. Given the other risk rules, keep position sizes normal around big releases.
How payouts work
Payouts at BitFunded run on a Profit Sharing Day that you choose, anywhere from 2 to 60 days after your first trade on the funded account. You can move that date up to three times in a 30-day period. On the day, you request a payout in USDT from the Payouts tab and choose a network.
What BitFunded's own documents say about payouts doesn't always line up, so here are both versions:
| Topic | FAQ and user guide | Terms of use |
|---|---|---|
| Payouts per 30 days (same account) | Up to 2 | Up to 3 |
| Processing time | Within 24 hours on working days | "Within a fourteen (14) day timeframe", and elsewhere "within 4 days" |
| Fee refund | 2-Step only, added to your third payout | Full refund on reaching your first profit split day |
The FAQ also says you can take up to 5 payouts per 30 days across all your challenges, that payouts drop to once a month after your tenth, and that Instant accounts pay once a month.
In practice, plan around the stricter version of each rule: two payouts a month, a processing time that could stretch past 24 hours, and a fee refund on the third payout of a two-step only. If BitFunded pays faster, that's a bonus.
Payout methods. USDT only. Payment for challenges can be made in USDT on ERC-20, BEP-20 or TRC-20, or by card through BitFunded's payment partners. Network withdrawal fees apply, and the user guide puts them at roughly 1 to 5 USDT depending on the network.
Identity checks. Once your cumulative profit reaches $10,000, BitFunded requires KYC before further withdrawals. Have your ID and proof of address ready well before you reach that point.
Scaling. BitFunded doesn't publish a formal scaling plan. You can run accounts up to $150,000 and hold several at once, but there's no automatic balance increase for consistent traders.
Who can sign up
BitFunded doesn't publish a list of restricted countries in its FAQ or terms. That cuts both ways. It suggests most traders can buy a challenge, but it also means you won't know about problems until the KYC check at $10,000 in profit. If you live somewhere under sanctions or in a country many firms avoid, email support in writing before you pay.
Reputation
On Trustpilot, BitFunded scores 4.3 out of 5 from 204 reviews, checked on 28 October 2026. Of those reviews, 79% give five stars and 8% give one star. BitFunded claimed its profile in August 2024, pays for a Trustpilot subscription, and had replied to 46% of negative reviews, usually within two weeks. See the Trustpilot page.
The positive reviews mostly mention quick support and payouts arriving on time. The negative ones mostly mention payout delays, rules that changed or felt unclear, and disputes over trade execution or P&L figures. That pattern fits what the documents suggest: the firm pays, but the payout review is where disagreements happen.

- Klein Funding: worth a look if you want a higher split (up to 90% vs 80%), on demand payouts and Bybit or Cleo.
- HyroTrader: worth a look if you want a higher split (up to 90% vs 80%), on demand payouts and Bybit or BloFin.
Mistakes to avoid at BitFunded
- Holding past the time limit. A swing trade on a minor coin has to close within 7 days. Set a calendar reminder when you open it.
- Going "all in". Using more than 65% of your margin on one trade or correlated trades can halve your payout. Size so you'd never get near it.
- Forgetting the daily reset time. The day resets at 00:00 UTC+8, not at midnight where you live.
- Ignoring fees. At 0.08% per round trip, ten full-size scalps a day on a $10,000 account cost about $400 in fees, the entire daily limit on a one-step.
- Trading Express like a two-step. A 3% total limit leaves no room for averaging down or wide stops.
- Waiting until $10,000 profit to think about KYC. Check you can pass identity checks before you buy.
Before you buy: checklist
- Pick the plan that matches how you trade, not the cheapest sticker price.
- Check the checkout price against the tables above. The website and user guide disagree on some sizes.
- Read the restricted trading practices page in full.
- Make sure your strategy never needs a trade open longer than 5 to 10 days.
- Decide your Profit Sharing Day before your first funded trade.
- Use code SCOUT at checkout. See our BitFunded coupon page for how to apply it.
Our verdict
BitFunded is a reasonable, low-cost choice for crypto day traders who trade manually and keep their size modest. The two-step plan, with a refundable fee, static drawdown and no deadline, is genuinely good value.
It's a worse fit if you swing trade, use bots or like to concentrate risk, and the mismatched payout terms mean you should plan for the strict version of every rule. Read the user guide once from start to finish before you pay. Most of the bad outcomes in BitFunded's reviews come from rules traders didn't know about.
